🏉 Kit handover complete! 🇿🇦
Laura and her friend Njabulo Zulu, rugby coach at King Edward VII School (KES), met with players, students and coaches from the Gauteng Women’s Rugby Institute (GWRI) and Valke Women, who compete in South Africa’s Women’s Super League.
👕 Last season’s Kendal Wasps kit and a rugby ball were delivered to GWRI, with KES also donating three half-size rugby balls!
💬 The group sat down for a chat, sharing their experiences, the challenges of being women in rugby, and their hopes for the future of women’s rugby in South Africa.
It’s been a brilliant opportunity to grow our rugby family! 🌍🏉
🇿🇦 And there’s more to come! Next week, Laura will be visiting another Atlas Foundation project in Cape Town. Stay tuned for more from South Africa!
❤️ Thanks to your generosity, we’ve already raised £500 for The Atlas Foundation!
Donations are still open, so if you’d like to support the Atlas Foundation and its brilliant work through rugby, there’s still time to contribute. Every donation makes a difference! 🫶
