A message to us from Tim Farron - what an AMAZING team we are - THANK YOU to each and every one of you 👏

Dear Claire and volunteer team
I have recently had the chance to read the outgoing mayoral report from the former Kendal Mayor – Richard Sutton, marking the end of a very successful year in office. It includes the volunteer profiles of 45 organisations supported by Richard and I have to say I was genuinely blown away by it.
The report offers a panoramic view of the people and groups who give their time, energy and heart to this town. Seeing the breadth of commitment across so many organisations really brings home just how vibrant, generous and healthy our community is.
It made me want to reach out to say thank you for all you and others do for the Kendal Rugby Club and to let you know that your work is truly appreciated.
You are part of a much wider network of organisations across Kendal who are making a real and lasting difference every day. Reading these stories makes you proud to be a Kendalian!

🏉 Huge congratulations to Charlie Dinneen 💪

We are incredibly proud to announce that Charlie has been selected as part of the Newcastle Red Bulls' senior academy intake for the 2026–27 season— one of just seven players across the country to earn a full-time rookie contract.

Newcastle Red Bulls describe Charlie as an athletic back with an abundance of skill and pace in attack, capable of playing at fly-half or full-back — a testament to his hard work coming through the Sedbergh School system and his club rugby here at Kendal.

Charlie, this is a huge achievement and a well-deserved next step. The entire Kendal club will be watching closely and cheering you on every step of the way. We can't wait to see what you go on to achieve. ⚫️🟡
