Aleksander won the Ulverston Junior tournament on Saturday winning all of his games. Woody who recently came to play chess to the Club took 2nd place and Jude who also just started finished quite high, too. Aleksander also went to play for Cumbria to The Northern Inter County Championship in Liverpool on Sunday. Again he won all of his games and helped the Cumbria team with overall a good performance. Michal and Jacob who come regularly to our Club also played very well winning most of their games against strong opponents.

An impressive win for South borrowing a few players from North in North vs South Cumbria match in Rheged Discovery Centre, Penrith, with 7 players from the Kendal Chess Club attending. Jonathan Rashleigh as a Captain of the South Team received this year's Trophy.
The fact that the kids tournament also went the way of the South is amazing, with Aleksander and Michal playing very well.
