Some sports take months to feel rewarding. Racketball hooks you in after the very first session🔥

That’s a huge part of why Racketball is growing so quickly across the UK. The bigger ball keeps the game flowing for longer, making it easier to learn, more enjoyable from day one, and addictive once you get going

At Kendal Squash & Racketball Club, we’re seeing players of all ages and experience levels stepping onto court, building confidence, and finding a sport they genuinely look forward to each week 🙌

Some days, you walk onto court carrying the weight of a bad day. Then in less than an hour, after a few good rallies, a laugh between points, and a solid run around, things feel lighter 🔆

It’s not just about competition or fitness. It’s about switching off for a while, being around a great community, and leaving with a clearer head than when you arrived.

There’s real science behind why that happens too. Fast paced exercise like squash and racketball increases blood flow to the brain and triggers the release of endorphins and dopamine, chemicals linked to improved mood, focus, and reduced stress. 🧠

The intensity of the game also forces your brain to stay present, tracking the ball, reacting quickly, and concentrating on the rally instead of everything else going on outside the court.

A good rally really can reset a bad day 💛

Mental Health Awareness Month 🧠

Staying active can play an important role in supporting our mental wellbeing. From reducing stress and improving focus, to building confidence and creating social connection, even small amounts of regular movement can make a real difference.

Squash and racketball are not only great forms of exercise, they’re also a chance to switch off from the pressures of everyday life, challenge yourself, and enjoy being part of a supportive community.

At Kendal Squash & Racketball Club, we’re proud to provide a welcoming environment for players of all ages and abilities, whether you’re returning to sport or stepping onto court for the very first time.

This carousel takes a closer look at some of the ways physical activity can positively support mental health throughout everyday life.

We hope to see you soon! 💛

Trying something new can feel like the hardest part… but it’s also where the fun and the growth begin.

Growth doesn’t come from staying where things feel familiar. It comes from those small moments where you step just outside it, try something different, and realise you’re more capable than you thought. 💥

Confidence works the same way. You don’t wait for it, you build it. Every time you step onto court, whether it’s your first go, your first time back, or you’ve come on your own, you’re growing in ways you don’t even notice at first.

Everyone starts somewhere. No pressure, no expectations, just showing up and giving it a go.

At Kendal Squash and Racketball Club, it’s all about enjoying the game, meeting people, and improving at your own pace.

Step out your comfort zone this week… you might just find something you love on the other side! 💛
