Unpopular fitness opinion:
A lot of “Summer Shred” programs don’t really show us how to get stronger, healthier, or keep our results for the long run.
For 2–3 weeks, we’re often told to:❌ Slash our calories❌ Keep adding more cardio❌ Spend as much time in the gym as possible
And what happens?
We might lose a few pounds for a little while, but many of us end up tired, hungry, and right back where we started once the holiday is over.
Then we find ourselves doing the same thing all over again.
But what if we focused on:✓ Strength training consistently✓ Eating enough protein, carbs, and healthy fats✓ Building healthy habits that fit our lives✓ Getting stronger all year round
Because the goal shouldn’t be to just get through a 3-week shred.
The real goal is to build a body and lifestyle that we can enjoy and maintain for life.
That’s the difference between a quick fix and something that actually lasts…..
