Last Saturday we loaded up a bus and headed off to Tough Mudder!! 💪🙌

I think it’s fair to say there was a mixture of excitement, nerves and a few people wondering why they’d agreed to it in the first place 😂

There was a lot more mud than last year!...there were new obstacles, a few wobbly moments and plenty of laughs along the way.

But what I loved most was seeing everyone encourage each other, help each other and keep going when things got tough.
Seeing Bloom members take on something completely out of their comfort zone and come out the other side smiling (and covered head to toe in mud) made me so proud. 🥹 🤗

A brilliant day with a brilliant bunch of people 🧡

Unpopular fitness opinion:

A lot of “Summer Shred” programs don’t really show us how to get stronger, healthier, or keep our results for the long run.

For 2–3 weeks, we’re often told to:❌ Slash our calories❌ Keep adding more cardio❌ Spend as much time in the gym as possible

And what happens?

We might lose a few pounds for a little while, but many of us end up tired, hungry, and right back where we started once the holiday is over.

Then we find ourselves doing the same thing all over again.

But what if we focused on:✓ Strength training consistently✓ Eating enough protein, carbs, and healthy fats✓ Building healthy habits that fit our lives✓ Getting stronger all year round

Because the goal shouldn’t be to just get through a 3-week shred.

The real goal is to build a body and lifestyle that we can enjoy and maintain for life.

That’s the difference between a quick fix and something that actually lasts…..

“If it’s too fast, it won’t last!”

💪 6 Weeks of Hard Work! ⚽

It’s been brilliant having the Cambusdoon FC U14 Boys in the gym at Bloom In Fitness for their first 6-week Strength & Conditioning block! 💪

Behind the scenes, the boys have been working hard on:
✅ Building strength and movement skills
✅ Improving balance and coordination through their growth phase
✅ Learning how to train smarter and recover better

The progress has been amazing to see 👏

And we’re not stopping here 👉 The boys have already signed up for another block starting at the end of October 🔥 This time we’ll be building on their foundations and also adding a nutrition element to support performance and recovery. 👌

Excited to keep helping these young athletes grow stronger, move better, and play their best football! 🚀😁
