🏑 Performance starts with knowing your baseline.
👩🏻⚕️Dr. Rosalie spent time with the Randolph-Macon Field Hockey team yesterday, providing an injury prevention + recovery talk before putting the entire team through Countermovement Jump (CMJ) testing.
📊Why CMJ testing? CMJ testing gives us an objective look at things like jump performance, force production, movement strategy, and asymmetries. Establishing these individual baselines allows us to identify changes over time that may indicate fatigue, altered performance, or areas that need attention before they become bigger problems.
✅The goal isn’t to predict exactly who will get injured. It’s to better understand each athlete, monitor changes, and use objective data to guide training, recovery, and injury-risk reduction.
💛Big thanks to Randolph-Macon Field Hockey for letting GRIT be part of the process!
