The teacher is always a student. Teaching Pilates is not the end of the learning process - it is the beginning of a lifelong practice of study, exploration and refinement.
As teachers, we need to continue our education, practise regularly, take lessons with other teachers and remain open to learning. We need to experience the work in our own bodies - to feel the movement, the resistance, the effort and the connection - so that we can better understand and communicate it to our students.
Working with other teachers gives us the opportunity to see the method through another perspective, to question what we think we know, and to discover something new in work we may have practised for years.
For us, continuing education is not simply about collecting more qualifications. It is about deepening our understanding, refining our teaching and sharing knowledge. Because the more we experience, the more we have to share.
This is why we’re so excited to be hosting our first workshop for teachers on Saturday 10th October. For more info, click the workshop link in our bio.
