A great weekend at Forrestburn for our Hillclimb event.
We had a couple of showers on Saturday, and the wind would have blown you over. On the plus side, the wind dried the track quickly. Despite a couple of red flags we still managed 1 practice and 5 timed runs.
On Sunday the wind had mostly gone and the sun was out. Getting practice and 4 timed runs.
Unfortunately we had a couple of stoppages due to someone outside the venue flying a drone over the track. We did trace them, and they instantly denied doing it, but unfortunately we cannot run cars when this happens. We have a couple of options available to us if it happens again.
We can't run a successful event without the help of a lot of people. So a massive thank you to our wonderful marshals, time keepers, scrutineers, Motorsport officials, CoC, rescue team, and medics. Plus Billy Cater and all the Monklands Committee who do a lot of work no one sees.
