We’re incredibly proud to see our manager Chelsea Drury nominated at the Cornwall Grassroots Football Awards 💛⚽️

Everything she does for this team goes far beyond matchdays. From the support she gives the players, to the time, effort and passion she puts into helping this team grow, she has had such a huge impact on all of us this season.

She’s helped build a team environment that players enjoy being part of and has supported every single one of us both on and off the pitch. This nomination is so well deserved and we honestly couldn’t be more thankful for everything she does for Launceston Ladies.

We’ve been blown away by the number of stories shared for this year’s Cornwall FA Grassroots Awards, a real reflection of the passion, commitment and community spirit driving football across Cornwall ✨

Today, we’re celebrating everyone who received a nomination. It’s an incredible achievement and a testament to your dedication, impact and hard work within the game ⚽️

Tomorrow, we’ll be announcing the three shortlisted nominees for each of our 12 award categories! We can’t wait to shine a spotlight on the amazing people, clubs, leagues and volunteers who make football happen in our county 🌟

One year with our goalie 💙 Elsie Lovell
Today marks one year since Elsie joined Launceston Ladies — and what an impact she’s made!
From the moment she arrived, Elsie has been a force to be reckoned with, putting in fantastic performances and keeping opponents on their toes. Not only has she been incredible between the posts, but she’s also stepped up outfield when the team needed her — a true team player.
Although she’s currently sidelined with injury, her presence is still felt, and we can’t wait to see her back doing what she does best alongside our other brilliant goalie.
We’re incredibly lucky to have such strong talent in our squad. Congratulations on your first year with us, Elsie — here’s to many more! 👏

That’s a wrap on the season for our ladies 💙

It’s been an amazing journey filled with plenty of highs and a few challenges along the way, but one thing is certain — this team has grown so much. From the first game to the last, every single player has developed, worked hard, and shown what it means to be part of this team.

We want to say a huge thank you to everyone who has supported us this season — our coaches, sponsors, and all of our supporters who have backed us every step of the way. Your support never goes unnoticed and means everything to us.

The work doesn’t stop here. We’ll be putting in the effort throughout pre-season, building on everything we’ve achieved, and coming back even stronger.

Match report - 26/02/26:

Launceston Ladies had the pleasure of facing top of the table Porthleven in what we knew would be a very tough test.
As a new side coming up against a team that has gone on to win the league, the challenge was always going to be a big one. Porthleven demonstrated their quality throughout the match, along with excellent sportsmanship, and the game ultimately finished 6–0 in their favour.
Despite the scoreline, the Launceston Ladies worked incredibly hard from start to finish, putting everything on the line and doing their best to limit the damage. The effort, determination, and team spirit shown across the pitch did not go unnoticed.
Megan was outstanding in goal, making a number of crucial saves to keep out some difficult efforts. Cam showed great resilience, playing the full 90 minutes and dealing bravely with some tricky attacking play. Evie was a solid presence at the back, consistently strong in defence and reading the game well. Amy, who has previously been part of Launceston Ladies, made a welcome return to the pitch, playing alongside her daughter Evie in defence, a special moment for them and the team.
As our season comes to an end, there is plenty for the team to be proud of, along with valuable lessons to take forward and build on for next season.
