OUR FIGHT ON THE CORONAVIRUS πͺπΌ
The health and safety of the nation are of the upmost importance to us here at Boogie Bounce. As a nation under threat we need to stand together and understand how we CAN work as a team. Firstly, let us understand the nature of the virus π¦
How does the virus affect us? π€
The virus attacks the RESPIRATORY system. When the virus enters your body it binds to two cells in the lungs - goblet cells that produce mucus and cilia cells which have hairs on them and normally prevent your lungs filling up with debris and fluid such as virus and bacteria and particles of dust and pollen.
The virus attacks these cells and starts to kill them - so your lungs begin to fill with fluid making it hard for you to breathe. This phase of the disease is thought to last about a week.
At this point your immune system will start to kick in and fight off the invaders ππΌ. You will develop a fever and your high body temperature will create a hostile environment for the virus. You will start to get rid of the mucus in the form of coughing and a runny nose.
SO, WE NEED TO KEEP 2 THINGS STRONG IN OUR BODY TO FIGHT THIS VIRUS AND THAT IS THE RESPIRATORY AND IMMUNE SYSTEM! ππͺπΌ

How Does Exercise Strengthen the Lungs?
Just like regular exercise makes your muscles stronger, it also makes your lungs and heart stronger. As your physical fitness improves, your body becomes more efficient at getting oxygen into the bloodstream and transporting it to the working muscles.
How Does Exercise work to help the Immune system?
Physical activity may help flush bacteria out of the lungs and airways. This may reduce your chance of getting a cold, flu, or other illness. Exercise causes change in antibodies and white blood cells (WBC). WBCs are the body's immune system cells that fight disease.
If you stop exercising these 2 systems will weaken and hinder your ability to fight this virus! You NEED TO STAY STRONG! πͺπΌ
Our recommendations for people to continue to attend our classes.

1. If you are experiencing any flu/cold like symptoms PLEASE stay away from classes for at least 7 days. If you are diagnosed with the CORONAVIRUS then please stay away for 14 days.

2. On arrival at class please wash hands immediately before touching any equipment.
