Exciting professional update!

I’m proud to announce that I am now a member of the Sports Therapy Association (STA), in addition to being part of IBA Intrinsic Biomechanics Education and holding CIMSPA Practitioner status.

Continuous learning and professional development are at the heart of what I do, and I’m excited to keep building my knowledge and skills to better support those I work with.

The run that broke me.

I’ve run Grafham Water many times before and always posted a decent time. But this day was different.

It was a hot day, and I started too fast, trying to keep pace with other runners. I eventually backed off, but the damage was done. My water was getting warmer, the temperature was rising, and by three-quarters of the way around I had run out completely.

I couldn’t keep running.

As my body started to struggle, my mind took over. The negative thoughts crept in. All the stress and challenges going on in my life started to surface. Emotions hit hard, and yes, I even shed a few tears.

I walked the rest of the route.

A week later, I came back and ran the same course again. This time I completed it with no issues.

The lesson? You’re never the same person twice. Heat, nutrition, hydration, sleep, stress, and countless other factors can affect performance. One bad day doesn’t define you.

If you fail, do it again.

Keep showing up.

Today wasn’t my strongest session.

Still, I showed up.

And sometimes, that’s the win.

You’re never the same person twice, so stop comparing today’s version of yourself to yesterday’s.

Just keep showing up. Consistency beats perfection every time. 💪❤️

Confidence changes everything.

One of the biggest things people lose when they’re dealing with pain, injury, or movement issues isn’t just strength…

It’s trust in their own body.

They stop doing things they enjoy.
They avoid certain movements.
They become worried about making things worse.

Over time, that lack of confidence can impact daily life far more than people realise.

That’s why one of my biggest goals as a coach isn’t just helping people get stronger it’s helping them understand their body, move better, and trust themselves again.

When people understand why they’re experiencing discomfort and learn how to move with confidence, fear starts to disappear.

Strength is physical.

Confidence is psychological.

Both matter.

If you’ve stopped doing things you enjoy because you don’t trust your body the way you used to, send me a message with the word “READY” and let’s have a chat.

Saturday morning interval boxing training at Realfit brought the heat with a challenging conditioning circuit designed to build power, endurance, and resilience.

🥊 Boxing combinations
💥 Explosive broad jumps
🏐 Sit-ups with slam ball tosses
🏋️ Weighted low box step-overs
🚜 Prowler push and pull

We finished with a brutal round of piston punches to empty the tank and test everyone’s grit. A special mention to Trevor, who somehow managed to volunteer for double piston punches… oooosshhhh! 👊🔥

Fantastic effort from everyone this morning. Plenty of sweat, plenty of laughs, and a great way to relieve stress while improving fitness, conditioning, That’s what Saturday mornings are all about!

4:30am start.

The field was too slippery for speed intervals, so I adapted and used the MUGA instead.

That’s the difference between motivation and dedication. Motivation waits for perfect conditions. Dedication finds a way.

In under 30 minutes, including warm-up and cool-down:

* A Skips – running mechanics and coordination
* Reverse A Skips – balance and hamstring activation
* High Knees – cadence and fitness
* Heels to Bum – running efficiency
* Lateral Shuffle – agility and stability
* Carioca – coordination and mobility
* Walking Lunges – strength and balance
* Pogo Jumps – reactive power
* 150-yard Shuttle Runs – speed endurance

Nearly 50 and still getting it done. Consistency compounds.
