One cue that blew my squat up: brace harder out of the hole
A lot of lifters focus on descending quickly and driving up even faster—but speed won’t save a position you can’t control.
As you come out of the bottom, actively maintain that 360° pressure through your trunk. This helps stop your chest collapsing, your hips shooting back and the bar pulling you out of position.
Build the control first. Repeat it until the movement goes from something you have to think about to something you can feel automatically. Then you’ve got a strong position you can actually apply speed to. 🧱
If your squat keeps breaking down out of the hole, it might not be a strength problem—it might be how you’re using the strength you already have.
