Fasting + Training Daily = Smart or Sabotage? 🤔
If you lift heavy, run often or train daily fasting can work for you but only if planned in advance.
Here’s the truth👇
Fasting boosts fat metabolism, insulin sensitivity, & even hormones like GH & testosterone.
Be warned though because if you skip fuel too often it can sabotage your strength, slow your recovery & stress your system out.
Here’s how I coach clients to FAST smart:
✅ Use fasting on lighter or non training days.
✅ Always fuel BEFORE & AFTER intense sessions.
✅ Hit your protein target & drink more water because you’re not eating carbs, so you lose water faster.
👉 Carbs help your body hold onto water, so if you’re skipping them, add at least 1 extra litre to stay hydrated & support recovery.
✅ Fasting should support your training, not sabotage it.
Fasting isn’t the enemy. Poor timing is.
