We received an outstanding range of nominations from across the South Canterbury Rugby community, and every person put forward should feel incredibly proud of the positive impact they have on their club and the wider community.

At South Canterbury Rugby, we know our game is about much more than what happens on the field. It’s about the people who lead by example, support others, and strengthen our clubs and communities every day.

To ensure a fair and independent process, all nominations were reviewed by representatives from New Zealand Police, who selected this year’s GOTCHU Champion.

A huge thank you to everyone who took the time to nominate a deserving individual and to all those who continue to make a difference.

A big congratulations to Erica Peeti who was named our 2026 South Canterbury Gotchu champion. A well-deserved recognition of someone who truly embodies the values of our rugby community.
