Ready for the Aoraki Open 2026?

🎾 Aoraki Open 2026: Timaru’s Premier Tennis Showcase Returns! 🎾

Get ready, Timaru! The Aoraki Open is back and bigger than ever, promising a weekend of thrilling tennis action, community spirit, and unforgettable experiences.

When: Friday 15th afternoon only in a draw with more than 24 players, Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th May 2026.

Where: Trust Aoraki Tennis Centre, 27 Benvenue Ave 7988 Timaru, South Canterbury

Open Event: MS (men’s singles), WS (women’s singles), MD (men’s doubles), WD (women’s doubles) and XD (mixed doubles).

You can ONLY enter 2 events.

Cash prizes for MS, WS, MD and WD winners and finalists. Great vouchers/prizes for consolation winners and mixed doubles.

All main draw matches will be 2 tie-break sets and a third set a super tie-breaker. All Consolation matches will have a short set of 4 games per set and a third set a super tie-breaker.

Open is for players of any age.

Update 4.30pm: courts are drying, B and A grade practice going ahead. Please bring your club shirts back.
Update 2.10pm: NO coaching for hotshots and C grade - the courts are too wet. Another update will come at 4.30 regarding B and A grade.

Practice today: Coach K has gone to check how wet the courts are, will update whether practice is going ahead once he has been to the club.

We're excited to announce that entries for the Highfield Tennis Club Championships are now officially open!

You can now register for:

- Singles
- Doubles
- Mixed Doubles

The Championships are open to players of all ages and levels, making it a great opportunity to compete, have fun, and connect with fellow members.

Please note that the competition is open to financial members only, so make sure your membership is up to date before entering.

We encourage everyone to get involved and be part of this fantastic club event!

Dunedin’s premier tennis showcase returns for an action-packed weekend at the newly redeveloped Stevenson Tennis Centre (Logan Park), with the Edgar Centre on standby as our wet weather backup venue.
