What a way to finish the Aoraki Rugby League Junior Spring Competition.
This Saturday’s final round will bring together approximately 350 junior players, along with referees, officials, coaches, managers, volunteers, parents, whānau and supporters for a massive day of junior rugby league at Pleasant Point Domain.
Across the competition, our young players have learned the game, built confidence, made friendships and represented their clubs with pride. The final round is about celebrating all of that — the tries and tackles, but also the teamwork, courage, sportsmanship, friendships and community that make junior sport so special.
A huge thank you must go to every coach, manager, referee, official and volunteer who has given their time throughout the season, and to all the parents and whānau who have driven kids to training, stood on sidelines, helped behind the scenes and supported our young players week after week. Junior sport simply doesn’t happen without you.
We also want to acknowledge the incredible businesses and families who have backed our juniors this season. Your support helps make opportunities like this possible:
Peter Herron Flooring • Hathaway Barber • ABC Contracting • Tracey Family • Clark Decorating • Stan Moore Electrical • TOHS • Canterbury Enviro Solutions • Pampered to Perfection • South Canterbury Hydraulics • SJ Allen Ltd • Milward Finlay Lobb • Craig O’Keeffe Builders
To every one of our sponsors — thank you for investing in our kids, our clubs and junior rugby league in South Canterbury. Please support the businesses that support our young players.
And most importantly, good luck to every junior taking the field on Saturday. Play hard, play fair, look after your teammates and opponents, and enjoy every minute of the final round.
Around 350 kids. Four clubs. One huge day of rugby league.
