Movement doesn't need to be all or nothing.

Just move your body in some way every day.

And have fun doing it.

Every bit of movement counts.

It doesn't have to be formal or even planned.

Here are some ideas:

- squats
- frisbee
- sparring
- skipping
- dancing
- aquarobics
- a gym workout
- taking the stairs
- bench press ups
- walking with a friend

Here’s a cool exercise.

Swiss ball plank circles are a great core exercise.

They build shoulder stability and work the back and abdominal muscles, especially the obliques.

In this video, I do circles to the right and left, then some forward pushes.

This is a challenging move. Slow it down to make it a bit more difficult.

* Day/times:
Monday 9 am - strength and balance
Tuesday 9 am - stretch
Wednesday 9 am - full body strength training (mixture of arms, core, legs)

* Cost: $15/class

* Beautiful setting 🌺🌼🌷, plenty of parking. You can park at Duart House or at the top of Chambers Street and walk up the path to Duart House.

It's useful to have a reason or a purpose to get out of bed in the morning.

It could be work, exercise, children, pets, appointments, achieving a goal, helping others, catching the sun rise, or meditation. It could be anything.

Philosopher Immanuel Kant's rules for a good life include being active, having a sense of purpose, and doing what we love.

What is it that motivates you?

Purpose can:
- reduce inflammation
- slow cognitive decline
- lower all case mortality
- help with lowering stress
- drive action and motivation in our daily lives

Your "sense of purpose" doesn't have to be earth shattering but it needs to be meaningful to you.
