Exercise isn’t just about losing weight, building muscle or getting fitter.
Regular physical activity can also play an important role in supporting your heart health and helping to manage blood pressure.
And that doesn’t mean you need to hammer yourself in the gym every day. Walking more, strength training, cycling, swimming, running or simply moving more across the week can all contribute to better overall health.
As a Mental Health and Exercise Coach, this is why I always try to bring the conversation back to the benefits of exercise rather than just the appearance side of it.
The physique and performance might be the side effects.
Better health, more energy, improved confidence, stronger habits and looking after your future self are the bigger wins.
Train for more than how you look.
