Newton Abbot Rugby Club has been built on the core values that make rugby great – integrity, discipline, sportsmanship, respect and community. All activities at Newton Abbot Rugby Club are governed by the principles of equal opportunity. Our club boasts a thriving junior section, two senior men’s teams and a league-winnin

g women’s team. We also regularly host sporting and other events on our grounds where guests have the opportunity to enjoy our bar and large marquee. More than a century after our club was first founded, Newton Abbot Rugby Club is committed to fostering a welcoming, inclusive sporting environment where everyone and anyone can join in, regardless of playing ability, experience or confidence. 🏉 MEN’S COACHING OPPORTUNITIES 🏉

We’re looking to add two experienced coaches to our Senior Men’s coaching team at Newton Abbot RFC.

We’re continuing to build and strengthen our senior setup and are looking for people who can bring experience, knowledge and enthusiasm to the group, working alongside our Head Coach.

There is also the opportunity to continue playing alongside the coaching role, with particular interest in:

Forwards: Ho**er, Second Row, Back Row
Backs: Fly Half, Inside Centre, Outside Centre

We’re still keen to hear from quality applicants from any playing position.

🏉🤝 RUGBY HELPING RUGBY

Earlier this week we took Doris, our line-marking robot, down to Paignton Rugby Club to give them a hand getting their pitch marked out for the season.

Anyone who has ever initially marked out a rugby pitch will know how much time goes into measuring everything, getting it square and making sure every line is where it should be.

With Doris doing the hard work, we hopefully saved the team at Paignton four or five hours, possibly even more.

At Newton Abbot Rugby Club, we’re proud to be part of our local community, but we’re also proud to be part of the wider rugby community.

Clubs helping clubs, sharing equipment, knowledge and time where we can. That’s what grassroots rugby is about. ❤️🏉

Of course, we’ll be slightly less helpful when we next meet on the pitch... 😂

That’s rugby. Help each other off it, then give absolutely everything against each other on it. 👊

A big thank you to @ , who is stepping down from looking after our senior fixtures at Abbot Rugby Club .

Chris has been an absolute rock star behind the scenes for us over the last few years, helping keep everything organised and making sure our senior fixtures run smoothly week after week.

With his business commitments growing, he has understandably reached the point where he can’t give the role the time it deserves. The Barbecue Shack

So from all of us at the club, Thank you Chris*. Your time, effort and support have been massively appreciated. 🤍🏉

It does mean we’re now looking for someone to take over as our Senior Fixtures Manager, helping coordinate fixtures across our men’s and women’s senior teams.

You don’t need to be a rugby expert. We’re looking for someone organised, reliable, good at communicating and happy to become part of the team behind the teams.
