One step closer! I now have the engine in, and after lifting it up with ratchet straps and strength just to find it needed the mounts thinning down, I can confirm she’s in.

Could bits turning up for it got a new clutch cover as new engine requires a different shape, and a new stator cover too.

New coolant hose to replace the broken / lost one, and a sump plug and I can then get her fired up for the first time hopefully 🤞😬😬

Went on holiday with the girlfriend.
Come back from holiday with the fiancée 💍♥️

Absolutely brilliant holiday, lots of food lots of drinks and now I get to marry my woman! Thanks for saying yes and here’s to the rest of the memories we will make together ♥️
P.s… you look hot as hell in a ring 🤤

But now back to the grind, and back to getting the R6 back up and running 🤘

Got to give a massive shoutout to for their insane quick detailer.

I brought it at today to try out as a new cleaning product for my race bike, but as it’s not fully built yet I decided to try it on my Audi, and the results have blown me away.

After I cleaned my car I quickly went over it with this detail spray and after 10 mins stood back and lost my mind. It left a deep shine and clear reflection making the car look new again. What’s even better is it’s a hydrophobic spray, so water now runs off it easier keeping the paintwork cleaner for longer 🤘

10 out of 10 would recommend, and I can’t wait to get my hands on their other products to keep my bike and car clean and shiny ♥️

Before VS after! Finally after scratched cylinders, stripped and snapped bolts and a world of stressful pain I’m finally building the engine back up again. Obviously it’s not as clean as it could be, I’m doing it on one hell of a budget, but the insides all cleared up and fixed now 👍 not long to go now, few bits ordered and she should be ready to fire up soon 🤞💪🏼

Picked up the crankcase and cylinder head from the shop after having it re honed and the head skimmed 👌 should have a bit more punch now 🤞 time to continue my own little bit of tuning, finish the porting and then lap the valve seats! Not long now 💪🏼

Well that’s the crankcase stripped and washed out. Now I’m in the process of drying it out and cleaning up the gears and internals ready for reassembly. Got a long way to go yet but I’m looking forward to the outcome nonetheless 💪🏼

And we are back! The “new” engine arrived on Monday and I’ve already got it stripped completely 👍 Now, when buying an engine from a breakers yard I obviously knew to expect it to be dirty or missing bits etc. But what I uncovered is unlike anything I’ve ever seen before… EVER.

It’s like the engines been sat at the bottom of a lake for 10 years. Every inch of the internals were covered and packed with silty sandy crap, mud, leaves, you name it!
Everything appears to be in working order, but every single nut bolt and gear assembly is apart and going to be inspected and deep cleaned.

Onwards and upwards… I hope!

Saturday in the sun to strip the cylinder head and start tuning it for the new engine. What a lovely day, got the playing in the background listening to the huge remembrance gathering for the two riders who lost their lives last round ❤️ so good to see a turnout as big as that, the biking community is by far the best and kindest there is.
