Because of work commitments, a late training took place at Decoy Park tonight aimed at fitness and fun.
A couple of PBs on the obstacles, a decent last leg around the lake. But for me the highlight was the jumps 💙

Well that's this season all done and dusted. A great season especially after Christmas. Runners up in a tournament and hosted our 2nd Tournament out at Liverton. The boys didn't disappoint and we look forward heading into the under 12s.

All the boys were a credit to the club and gave their all this season. With sadness we say goodbye to a couple, with Jackie heading off to live abroad. But we look forward to introducing a couple of new signings to the team.

Coaches player was Roo.
Supporter's player was a tie between Max and Alfred.
Courage award went to Charlie.
With young Theo winning some goodies for bestest spender in the club shop.

A little behind the scenes look out at Liverton atm. Preparation into getting the floodlights installed to the side of the training pitch, that will give both of our youth teams extra training hrs in the darker months. What an incredible day at the Dawlish tournament. We finished runners up! A day hopefully the boys will remember for a long long time. Some good goals, great saves and a couple of heart stopping penalty shoot outs. It had it all.
It so nearly was the biggest underdog story ever! I'm still expecting Steven Spielberg to contact me regarding the rights to turn it into a movie.
The boys played their hearts out, not always the prettiest football, but we played for one another. They definitely deserved everything they got.
We couldn't be prouder of them!!! Well done to Dawlish for winning it for the 2nd year running.

Our last game of the season at KM united and a nice early start at our furthest away fixture this year 🙄, but at least it was sunny 😀.

With KM being one of the top two sides in our division we were definitely up against it especially with having the bare 9 due to late injuries. With several players not in there favoured positions we actually had a fantastic first half without conceding, with our defence especially holding strong and playing lovely passes from the back, and our midfield/forwards doing there best to keep the ball. The second half KM found a bit more space and found the net a couple of times.
The boys were knackered by the end but put in a real shift. I was extremely pleased with them all. It's easy from the touchline to tell them to keep going especially after running for an hour, but they did there best and I can't ask for more.

Onto tournament season 😀

Man of the match was a tough one and to be honest it could've been several players. But Will got the nod. Up and down all game, great tackles and good runs. The boy doesn't do tired.

Supporter's player was a tie between the gk and all of the defenders. I gave it to Joshie for his attitude. What really impressed me was his tracking back if he lost the ball, not once did he NOT run back to help or put them under pressure.

What a glorious day to host Ipplepen FC today!

After a few half term injuries on arrival, we had to find some makeshift goalkeepers. Big thanks to the coaches boys Max and Oscar in offering to do a half each 👏
Today's game was played in a great spirit and both teams trying to play football the right way.
Great to see Ipplepen boys working so hard with the bare 9 in this heat. Penalties and ice cream after the game was throughly deserved!!!

Mom was Ernie, with some lovely little runs but his distribution is what caught the coaches eye.

Supporter's player was Theo, worked hard in midfield and after saying he hates and won't head a ball, somehow manged to climb 6ft in the air and head the ball like Alan Shearer.

Losing that hour in bed and adding a 9am kick off away at Galmpton was exactly what the parents wanted 😴. Luckily, after a sleepy warm up, we woke up in time for the match. The boys put on another great preformance, with Roo adding a few to his seasons tally.
Great performances around the pitch by everyone. Ernie growing in confidence and adding more bits to his game and Ethan in the sticks playing a solid game when he wasn't feeling well. Shout out to Galmptons keeper today who stood in at late notice, pulling off saves and one worldie. It can be difficult for the young players playing out of position but these players are the backbone of teams when they're willing to help there team out.

Mom today was Charlie, for the exact reason above. Played the 2nd half in a position he doesn't really like but showed a great attitude, working extremely hard.

Supporter's player was Will, he's had some great games lately but I think everyone who saw his half volley strike today will understand why the supporters gave him the award.... boom!
