We are particularly focussed on promoting youth cricket and encouraging young players to take up the game at an early age. Our club is proud to be a club that serves our local community, promotes the development of youth cricket and plays cricket competitively but always in the spirit of the game. We are holders of the ECB Clubmark Award in recognition of the contribution we make to the developmen
t of cricket locally. Cricket has been played in Dunmow since 1895 and those that play currently see themselves as custodians of the legacy we have been left with. Blessed with our own picturesque ground, we are able to field two competitive sides on Saturday in the Two Counties League (Division 2 and Division 6 for the forthcoming 2021 season) and a friendly Sunday side that features a mix of developing and more senior players. In addition, we field junior teams at all ages from Under 10's to Under 15's. We were due to celebrate our 125th anniversary in 2020 but celebrations were postponed for obvious reasons of health and safety. We hope very much to be able to see these celebrations through in 2021 for our 126th anniversary! Ambitious for our future and cognisant of our past, we are always looking for new members to play, coach or support the club in any other way.
