Furness 1st XV are back and welcome Carlisle 1st XV to Strawberry Ground in the 1st round of the Cumbria Shield 🛡

Last Saturday was the Lee White Memorial Match, where Furness Select XV took on Ørsted, in aid of St Mary’s Hospice. The amount raised for the Hospice totalled £2460 which included £360 from the Ørsted Just Giving page and a top-up from Furness Rugby.

An outstanding effort from all concerned particularly Dan Speers and Andy Brannon for organising the day.

LEE WHITE MEMORIAL MATCH AT THE STRAWBERRY GROUNDS ON 23 MAY 2026. GATES OPEN AT 13.30 HRS.

This is always a great occasion and a chance to donate to St Mary’s Hospice.

This year’s game against Orsted will again be an interesting watch with skill, speed and athleticism on show from both teams 🤪

Plenty of good food and drink to be had, so get on down for a great afternoon.
