On the road again today with Donnie at the Clayton Amateur Boxing Club home show.

Brilliant performance from Donnie, solid workrate and shot selection forcing a Rd 3 stoppage victory 🏅

We attended Lancaster Boxing Clubs home show last night with 5 boxers in action .. firstly what a great venue Ashton Hall was!

Hartley had a skills contest in which he progressed from his last bout and showed what he can do in preparation for scoring contests 👊

George made his in ring debut again in a skills bout with an opponent who made him work hard! A great taste of boxing, now we know what it’s about!

Henry boxed in a scoring contest, with high workrate and good skills against a very strong / tall opponent, getting caught with a shot to the stomach which brought an early end to the contest. Henry will learn more from this than from his victories 💪

Jesse, fresh after competing in the box cup on Sunday, boxed smart and sharp for the offset, turning the weekend result around in style with a well deserved win here 🥇

Last up, making his debut was Kris. A strong paced bout with both looking to land big, Kris fitness and workrate shone through to take the win 🥇

Well done to all boxers, win or learn, their opponents and to Lancaster Boxing Club for putting on a fantastic show

Jesse boxed at the Global Glove Box cup in Bolton yesterday 🥊

In a straight final, a scrappy high tempo contest saw both boxers mixing it up. It only takes one shot sometimes and Jesse was unfortunate to take a hit to the body at the wrong time in the right place!

Proud of Jesse for getting in and going toe to toe with his opponent from Oliver’s Gym, he learns from it and takes the experience to his next contest !

The mental challenge of keeping relaxed for several hours before competing and warming up correctly is also a credit to Jesse. It was a long day!

Congrats to his opponent and the tournament organisers 👍

Ben and Akhom boxed last night on the show in Carlisle 👊

Bens first contest and showed great work rate, giving as good as he got. Unfortunately caught with a shot in the second round resulting in referee stepping in. Protection of the boxers is key 👍

Akhom had movement and workrate to a tee but his opponent was lively and struggled to close him down with the decision going to his opponent.

Boxing isn’t win or lose. It’s win or learn. More is learnt from ‘defeat’ than in ‘victory’

Well done to both boxers, back in the gym Monday to work hard ready to turn results around next time out 👊🍀👊

Good night In Morecambe last night on the coastalabc show 👊🍀👊

Henry having his second contest, boxing to a high tempo and workrate to come away with a split decision win 🏅

Ben was also due to box on this show, however an issue with the weights meant the bout didn’t go ahead. These things happen, back in the gym to sharpen for the next. Photo from Nith Valley last week.

On the road again today at the Nithvalley Boxing Club home show in Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Frankie had his first skills contest in the first bout of the show, his first experience in the ring and boxed brilliantly, good head movement, footwork and shot selection 👊 the first of many!

Brother Donnie was up straight after, with his first scoring contest after a couple of skills. Great workrate and movement in this step up for him resulting in Donnie taking the win 🏅

Ben, fresh from Morecambe last week, had a skills contest in a return of the fixture towards the end of last year. Again great work from him and his opponent showing how they have progressed, with Ben looking for his first scoring contest success next week 👊

Oliver, like Donnie, coming off a handful of skills into his first scoring contest, boxed brilliantly taking the centre of the ring and using his long jab to great effect, implementing what was learnt in the gym to come away with a well deserved win 🏅

All boxers have shown progression and commitment this season and are a pleasure to coach.. onwards we go !

4 good performances at the skills show last night 👊🍀👊

Ben, Toby, Oliver and Kai getting valuable experience in, in what was Kai’s first taste of life in the ring 🥊

Lots of progression, also things to work on before scoring contests. All did themselves and the club proud 🏅
