Manuia le Vaiaso o le Gagana Samoa
Happy Samoan Language Week to our netball community 🩵

The theme for Samoan Language Week 2026 is:
‘E afua mai i mauga tetele manuia o le nu’u’ – From the high mountains come the blessings of the village.

These “high mountains” represent the elders and leaders within our families and communities. Their wisdom, sacrifices, and guidance continue to shape and bless the generations that follow.
A love for sport is one of these blessings. It is often nurtured by parents and elders and passed down through generations. They create strong, harmonious families and lead by example, showing us the values of respect, commitment, and unity.

The knowledge and experiences of our parents, ancestors, and elders are invaluable. They teach young people the skills and qualities needed to grow, not only in sport but in life.

By playing the sport we love, we honour the passion and dedication of those who came before us. We embrace the opportunities they have created and carry forward their legacy. In turn, we also give back by supporting and uplifting the next generation, just as we have been supported.

Week 3 is here, and the tables are starting to tighten, with plenty of teams sitting mid-pack and everything still to play for🫣

In Premier 1, St. Cuthbert’s will be chasing a win to stay ahead of Marist, while Avondale faces a similar battle against Macleans. Meanwhile, Auckland Girls’ and Epsom Girls’ are both hungry to get points on the board… who will step up this week?

In Premier 2, Mt Albert edged out a crucial bonus point last week, putting them just one point ahead of Pakuranga, who also have a win under their belt. This should make a game you won't want to miss.
One Tree Hill has two points on the table from two narrow losses and will be determined to convert against Saint Kentigern SKC2, who come in with a win and a close loss of their own.

A special milestone moment 💙

Last night, we celebrated a key milestone as our Representative players were presented with their dresses, a significant occasion recognising the hard work, dedication, and commitment that has led them here, and marking an exciting step in their journey.

We were honoured to have Amiee Landrigan and Crystal Maro from the Stars join us to present the dresses and share a few words with our players. Thank you for inspiring the next generation.

A proud moment for our players and their whānau.

Congratulations to all ✨

An interesting lineup of games Thursday night, with clashes between the top, middle, and bottom of the table. Eastern Premier and Collegiate 1 will be playing to avoid Tuesday evening’s Challenge Game against the top team in the Premier 2 grade.

In Premier 2, the spotlight will again be on the bottom of the table, as this week’s results will determine the teams heading into the Challenge Games. Saints Knights could secure safety with a win or a draw (along with an improved goal percentage) against College Rifles 2🧐 However, if Uni Cavs topple Huskies 1, those efforts could still prove in vain😮

These are the do-or-die games, watch them all LIVE🔴 at www.aucklandnetball.tv
