Important information regarding our teams event!
Here is the teams event information for those participating this Friday 26th April. Come and support these players if you're around! We also encourage teams to dress up if you wish!
Albany Annual Teams Event 26th April 8am
Courts are open from 7am for warm up.
Please arrive at 8am latest for an 8:15am kick off.
Games will be played back to back all day due to limited time, please remain at the venue.
ALL games are to 11, win by 2.
Medals awarded to all teams placed 1st, 2nd, 3rd in each category.

The format is as follows:
Within your team you need to come up with the following team combinations. These MUST remain the same all day.
Men's Doubles
Women's Doubles
Mixed Doubles B
Mixed Doubles A
You will play the above combinations against EACH team in your pool, back to back. If each team wins 2 games, you will go to a tie breaker. This is where you will select ANY two team members to play the first 6 points, the remaining 2 team members will then go on court and finish the game off to 11, win by 2 points. This will determine the winning team for that round. Note, this ONLY happens if there is not a clear winning team after the first 4 games. E.g. If a team wins 3 out of the 4 games, there is no need for a tie breaker round.
After your pool games, for the 3.5+ teams, the top 2 from each pool will continue into the playoffs. For the 3.5 and under teams, all the teams will continue into the playoffs. Once you lose in the playoffs, you are finished for the day. You will continue to play the same format against each team. There is no ālosers bracketā.
Courts will be allocated so that there is space between courts for you to stand and support your team mates. We encourage you to stay down on court and not in the stands as you will be playing games back to back.
Please ensure you fill out the score sheet after each game. Once you have played all combinations against a team, please give your score sheet to one of the volunteers who will run it back to the tournament desk for entry or please run it up yourself as soon as possible.
If none of that makes sense, we will recap Friday morning 8am.
