The building phase is the one most women skip entirely.
And it's costing them the shape, the strength, and the physique they're actually working towards.
We've been conditioned to think that losing weight is the goal. So we eat less, and the weight disappeares. And what is at the other end is not the lean body you might have envisaged. It is just a smaller body.
Here's what I've learned both from my own journey and from the women I work with:
Fat loss reveals what's already there.
Building determines what gets revealed.
If you've lost weight recently and you're looking in the mirror thinking something's still not right, this is probably why. The shape has to be built first. And building requires a completely different approach to the one you've been using. And it's not classes.
It requires:
• Enough food to actually support muscle growth
• Enough protein, consistently
• Progressive overload in your training, not just moving
• Recovery
• Months of consistency, not weeks
This is the work I did on myself before I thought about leaning out. I built first. Then the lean physique followed.
The Lean Physique Method is an 8 week programme built around exactly this: training fuelled, eating enough, and using progressive overload to build the kind of body you want to keep.
