Busy Friday, but the best kind 💛

Inset Day looked a little different today…

✅ Deadly Dozen prep (the dog was convinced I’d collapsed and needed CPR 😂)

✅ Efficient clean-up crew in action

✅ Workout programming sorted

✅ A fantastic private paddleboarding session in the sunshine with

Huge thanks to Jo from Roar Outdoors for such a brilliant session — relaxed, fun and exactly what I needed.

Now it’s time for Strong Ladies 💪☀️

Days like this remind me how lucky I am to spend my time doing things I love with people (and dogs!) I love.

Not my best time. Not my best performance. But somehow managed 1st place. 🥇

Battling an ongoing injury and racing in the rain made for a challenging day, but that’s racing sometimes.

Massive thanks to the Wild Hybrid team, judges, and volunteers for a fantastic event, and a special shoutout to Adam for the brilliant photos.

Most importantly, thank you to Adam, the kids and Kylo for cheering me on from the sidelines despite the downpours Your support means everything. ❤️

On to the next one. 💪🦌🌧️🥇

Well… that was hard!

So many times this week I debated pulling out. I hadn’t had the time to train properly, and the physio even gave me a 15% chance of tearing my calf. But I didn’t want to give up the opportunity.

What did I learn?• I need to work on my cardio fitness• I am definitely not good in the heat• You can’t always be the best or come first — but you can show up, and that’s exactly what I did today

I also want to say a huge thank you to everyone who encouraged me along the way, to the osteo at for sorting out my shoulder, and to the physio for teaching me how to strap my foot!

Last few longer runs have been a bit of a struggle… but today felt like a switch flipped. 12km, no chafing, and a whole new level of comfort. Safe to say a new era has been unlocked. Massive thanks to Kate for lending me her shorts—game changer. 19 days to go

Deadly Dozen preparation has officially begun.

The focus for the next phase is increasing cardio fitness and building the engine needed for what’s ahead.

Sessions like this remind me how lucky we are to have places like this to train. What a backdrop to put the work in.

Time to build endurance. One step at a time.

Challenging conditions, slippery underfoot and mud from start to finish — and that’s exactly why strength work matters.

I genuinely enjoyed the grind today.
Mud doesn’t slow you down when you’ve built the engine and the strength behind it.

Train for it. Then trust it.

No weights needed — just control, intention, and focus.
This back & glute flow is all about slow reps and strong engagement.

1. Swimmers (with arm circles)
Lift your legs from the hips, not the lower back.
Lightly tap the floor with your fingertips, then circle the arms with control.
Keep the glutes engaged the entire time.

2. Scorpion (quadruped)
From hands and knees, drive your heel toward the ceiling.
Push up through the heel and squeeze at the top.
Keep your core tight so your lower back doesn’t arch.

3. Prone Chest Lifts
Squeeze your glutes and brace your core first.
Lift your chest from the mid-back, not the neck.
Pause and feel that squeeze between your shoulder blades.

4. Parachute
Bring your heels together to open the hips.
Lift from the glutes — not the lower back.
Think long spine, tight core, steady breathing.
