Dive Rutland is looking for 𝗗𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀 to join our growing team.

This is not a full-time role — it’s an opportunity to assist with pool sessions and open water training, helping us deliver high-quality diver education and support.

You’ll need an HSE diving medical to work with us, but if you haven’t got one yet, don’t let that put you off — we can talk you through it (and you can claim it back after working with us for a while!)

This is a great question — and one that comes up regularly when divers start planning travel or thinking about training pathways.

𝗕𝗦𝗔𝗖 certifications are part of the global recreational diving training framework and are accepted in most dive destinations around the world, alongside other major training agencies.

However, there are a few important points to understand:

🔹 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗴𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘃𝘀. 𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗽𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗲
Most dive centres worldwide will accept BSAC qualifications for guided dives or buddy diving at the appropriate depth level.

🔹 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀
Some destinations or operators may ask about your recent dive experience, especially in challenging environments (current, depth, overhead environments, or low visibility), regardless of certification agency.

🔹 𝗘𝗾𝘂𝗶𝘃𝗮𝗹𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀
BSAC qualifications are generally considered equivalent in training scope to other major agencies at similar levels — but individual operators may still apply their own policies for safety and insurance reasons.

💡 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗸𝗲𝘆 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗮𝘄𝗮𝘆:
Your certification is important — but your 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲, 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗮𝘀 𝗺𝘂𝗰𝗵, 𝗶𝗳 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲, 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗱𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗯𝗿𝗼𝗮𝗱.
