Unity Sports Club 2-6 Wolverley FC U12 Warriors

The Warriors boarded the bus for an away day in the quintessentialy English village of Feckenham, to face Unity Sports Club Bengals.

The Warriors started well on a sloping pitch, up against a team of big physical boys and Mason expertly fired home early on!

Unity Sports Club drove forward to bundle home from close range but Leo showed his masterful class to notch his first to take a 1-2 HT lead.

Second half saw Warriors going uphill but it actually made them play better, the ball was used more efficiently and expansively and Leo bagged his brace with another ice cool finish.

It was a really hard surface to play on today, but Joesph showed flair and trickery on the wing to set up Rory who smashed in an unsaveable top bin to make it 1-4.

Rory had made a huge impact since coming on and really deserved his goal.

Josh got in on the act with a long range rocket into the bottom corner to make it 1-5.

Unity Sports Club made it 2-5 with a good team goal but the icing on the cake was the Warriors sixth, as a beautifully crafted team goal was expertly dispatched by Joey.

A special mention to the opposition goalkeeper today, he really did keep the score down with a string of superb saves.

A really pleasing, hard fought win from all the team today and one to be proud of. Three points on the board.

Our players of the match went to Joseph and Charlie.

Joseph showed confidence to cause the opposition lots of trouble on the left wing and created multiple opportunities for us to score.

Charlie delivered a Declan Rice style performance after being asked to sit a little deeper in the midfield. He started attacks, made the right decisions in the final third and his energy was outstanding.

Newtown Sports U12 2-1 Wolverley FC U12 Girls

Today our U12 Girls travelled to Malvern, to play their first competitive game as a team.

And it didn’t look like it!

From the very first whistle, the girls looked strong, playing the ball around the pitch as if they had been playing together for years.

The 2-1 defeat does not reflect the way these girls played today.

The passing was fantastic, the movement and positioning was excellent, and for a first game, the girls seemed very confident.

They worked for each other today, not just as a group of individuals, but as a team.

A team that went on to score their first ever goal!

One thing that really stood out was players not being afraid to try new things, multiple players pulling out tricks and turns.

Every single one of them should be so proud of themselves today. For a first competitive game together, there is so much to be proud of.

There is so much yet to come in the season, and if today is anything to go on, it’s going to be an exciting one!

Wolverley FC U18 0-1 Crowle Searchers U18

Our U18s hosted Crowle Searchers in their first game of the season in the Ambassador Evesham Football League.

It was a case of 'first game of the season-itis' for both sides.

Both teams tried to play their own brand of football early on, but the away team settled quickest.

If it wasn't for our keeper, who pulled off a world class top bins save, then Crowle would have been ahead.

At the break it was 0-0.

In the second half our keeper again stood big in his goal to save a one-on-one chance.

Our Swans then came into their own and peppered the away goal - hitting the crossbar with some great lead up play and creating several efforts on goal.

However, when the ball broke at the other end Crowle’s striker showed great close control and ball skills to draw our defender to mistime a tackle and a penalty was awarded.

The resulting spot lick hit the back of the net, handing Crole a 1-0 win.

We take only positive thoughts and grit from today’s battling 1-0 defeat.

Player of the match went to our keeper. He saved everything thrown at goal today - even when their strikers seemed odds on to score. He was simply brilliant.

Well done Swans, great effort 🦢⚽️

Our U8s completed their first game of the new season this morning.

We couldn't be more proud of this group and, while it wasn't the result we were looking for, the players had fun and came off smiling.

We get back to it again next week.

Wolverley Women FC are looking for another goalkeeper to complete our squad for the 2026/27 season! ❤️💛

With our first-ever competitive season just around the corner, we’re looking for someone to join our goalkeeping ranks.

We already have a fantastic keeper within the squad, but due to other commitments she won’t be available for every fixture — so we’re looking for another goalkeeper to come in, compete, develop and share pitch time throughout the season. 🧤⚽️

You don’t need to arrive thinking you’re signing up to sit on the bench.

There will be opportunities to play.

We’re looking for someone who is:

🧤 16+
⚽ Looking to play open-age women’s football
❤️ Keen to be part of a friendly, competitive and growing squad
💪 Willing to train, develop and get involved
🦢 Ready to become a Swan!

Whether you’re an experienced goalkeeper, returning to football after some time away, or a young keeper ready to make the step into the women’s game, we’d love to hear from you.

We're back with our first match report of the 2026/27 season!

Our U9s boys headed off to Gornal DC for their first competitive game of the new campaign.

The game itself was extremely competitive, with both teams creating chances throughout the first half.

One thing that has become very apparent early on with these boys is their desire to work hard for each other.

They certainly did that in the second half - resulting in a much improved performance and they unlucky not to find the back of the net.

This week's Spectators Player of the Match went to our goalkeeper. His shot stopping and closing down was possibly the best we have ever seen from him between the sticks.

This week's Player of the Match went to the whole team. Their commitments and desire to work hard for each other are already shining through.

A special mention also to our captain. His work rate and excellent control in defence really showed off his leadership skills.

Finally, thank you to our amazing hosts, Gornal DC. We look forward to hosting you at Mill Lane in the future.

🦢 Our Swans are BACK! ⚽

A new season. A fresh start. And a big weekend of football ahead! 🙌

For many of our teams, this weekend marks the start of another campaign in Wolverley colours.

With 16 teams across the club, it's our biggest season yet.

After weeks of preparation, it’s finally time to get back out there and enjoy our football.

We can’t wait to see Mill Lane buzzing again and our Swans representing the club on the road.

Good luck to every player, coach and team kicking off their season this weekend – and a huge thank you to all the families and supporters cheering them on.

For those of you at home tomorrow, the Crossbar cafe will be open serving hot drinks and food to keep you going.

Our U9 teams finished off their pre-season preparations with an inter-club friendly, which saw our U9 Boys take on our U9 Warriors last weekend.

It was a great opportunity to put the skills they've been practicing throughout the summer into action.

The less than ideal conditions also provided some preparation for the winter months ahead!

We're looking forward to seeing these two teams in action throughout the season.
