The U10 H&W Girls Trophy is unharmed! However unfortunately over the weekend my car was broken into & two of these bags were stolen. Minimal resell value as very specific & named, but lots of sentimental value & will be expensive to replace. Please keep an eye out!

🏅 Worcester Fencing Day Triumph! 🏅

Huge congratulations to our mighty U10 team (ages 6, 8 & 9) who gave it their all at the Worcester Fencing Day! 💪

In an incredible display of grit and teamwork, they beat a much bigger U12 team — with Doug sealing the win in a heart-stopping final chase to 45 points, landing the last touch with just one second left on the clock! ⏱️⚔️

After a long and exhausting day, the second match proved a stretch too far, but the team still finished a proud 3rd place in the combined U10/U12 event. What a performance!

West Midlands Region Fencing are running two armoury courses to help fencers, parents, coaches or anyone who would like to know more. These will be run by Roger Simmonds who not only coaches, but also looks after the armoury for Birmingham Fencing Club and is on the armoury team at Birmingham International Fencing Tournament.

Venue: Woodrush Sports Centre, Shawhurst Lane, Hollywood, Birmingham B47 5JW (map)

Dates: Wednesday 19 February 2025 or Friday 21 February 2025

Time: 2pm-4pm (either day)

Course Fee: £10 payable on the day

Local Junior Event!- U10/12/14/16/19

Fencing Gala – Teams’ Day
Sunday 1st December 2024

You are all invited to take part in a day’s training and team fencing at the Royal Grammar School Worcester (WR1 1PU), in the ‘Tom Savage Sports Hall’ on your left as you go down ‘Little London’ from ‘The Tything’.

Teams can be of 2, 3 or 4 (3 plus a reserve) fencers.

Format will be decided on the day based on the teams that attend. As best as possible we will put teams against teams of a similar age.

The aim is to provide an opportunity for fencers to experience and learn about team fencing in a competitive but fun and inclusive environment.

Check in will be from 9.30 to 10.00. There will be a group warm up, stretch, and footwork session followed by instruction on team fencing and how it is done. Fencing will start by 12.00
