To help divers dive better - explore further, stay longer and enjoy the ride along the way. This is not a hollow promise.

We do this by designing and manufacturing innovative (often revolutionary) products that are easy-to-use but enhance diver performance - even in the harshest conditions. Everything we make is conceived, tested and assembled in our factory and research centre in the heart of Cornwall, UK. We aim:

Our doors are always open to divers who wish to visit and we're happy to discuss any aspect of diving - from the operation of rebreather units, to specific dive plans, to advice on DIY servicing and repairs, the supply of custom tools or any other questions you may have. Did you know AP Diving has helped bring some of Hollywood’s biggest underwater moments to life? 🎬🌊

Behind some of the most challenging underwater scenes are teams of divers, engineers and equipment specialists working behind the scenes to make them possible.

Over the years, AP Diving technology and expertise has supported incredible productions including:

🎥 Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning
We carried out safety testing on the full-face dive masks used during filming.

🌊 Avatar: The Way of Water
We supported the production with full-face mask safety testing, miniature airlines for actors, infrastructure airlines for the set, and even helped create a buoyancy control device for one of the creatures.

🎬 Thirteen Lives
Based on the incredible 2018 Thai Cave Rescue, AP Diving produced equipment for the divers, including Rick Stanton’s specially developed inner tube BCD.

🌊 Last Breath
Based on the incredible true story of saturation diver Chris Lemons, the film features commercial divers wearing AP Diving’s JJMk3 and JJMk4 Jump Jackets, equipment that has helped improve commercial diver safety in the North Sea and around the world for over 30 years.

From Hollywood blockbusters to documentaries, AP Diving has been proud to support projects where safety, reliability and underwater innovation matter.

No bubbles. No noise. No fish bolting for cover. 🐠

More than double the length of a standard SMB, because sometimes 1.4m just isn't enough to be seen. 🌊

Built for open-ocean conditions where visibility from the boat is everything, the 3m SMB comes loaded:

✅ Original self-sealing baffle
✅ Low-profile EASIFIL inflator stem (BC/drysuit hose, snag-free)
✅ Can also fill via 2nd stage through the bottom opening
✅ Brass trigger hook for compact storage
✅ Light-stick pouch + strobe attachment point
✅ Extendable 70cm loop at the base, hook a fin through it to pull the buoy upright at the surface

Rolls down to just 28cm x 9cm for a 3m buoy. Currently in Hi-Viz Red.

⚓️ Truk Lagoon (Chuuk)

For many wreck divers, Truk Lagoon is the ultimate bucket-list destination.

Home to the remains of the Japanese fleet sunk during Operation Hailstone in 1944, the lagoon offers an extraordinary glimpse into history. Cargo holds filled with trucks, aircraft, ammunition and everyday artefacts remain where they settled more than 80 years ago, while vibrant corals and thriving marine life have transformed these wrecks into spectacular artificial reefs.🐠🪸

From recreational dives on the shallower wrecks to extended CCR exploration of the deeper sites, Truk Lagoon offers some of the most iconic wreck diving on the planet.

Shark & Yolanda Reef | Ras Mohammed 🇪🇬

Few dive sites have earned the reputation of Shark & Yolanda Reef. Located within Ras Mohammed National Park, this iconic drift dive combines dramatic walls, strong currents and some of the best marine life encounters in the Red Sea.

The dive begins at Shark Reef, where the wall drops away into the blue. Schools of snapper, barracuda, batfish and countless reef fish patrol the current, with the summer months often bringing spectacular fish aggregations.

Following the saddle between the two reefs, divers drift towards Yolanda Reef. Keep an eye on the blue for passing pelagics before finishing over the remains of the Yolanda wreck, now scattered across the reef and home to an incredible variety of marine life.

It's a dive that demands good buoyancy, awareness and respect for the conditions, but it's one you'll never forget.

Fourteen years ago, AP Diving played a part in one of the greatest achievements in ocean exploration.

When James Cameron made his historic solo dive to Challenger Deep, the deepest known point in our oceans, our engineers designed and built the life support system that kept him alive throughout the mission.

⚙️ Developed in just four months, the system combined proven AP Diving rebreather technology with a bespoke design, providing up to 60 hours of life support with automatic oxygen control and a fully independent emergency backup system. Every component had to perform flawlessly in one of the most challenging environments on Earth.

👏 While the world watched an extraordinary expedition, we were incredibly proud to know that our team in Cornwall had played an important role behind the scenes. It was a remarkable achievement that showcased the innovation, skill and dedication of our designers and engineers.
