"We have really cool sharks... I like the porbeagle, which looks like a baby great white shark. Surfers could see one and absolutely p**p their pants, but they’re not dangerous. It’s amazing that we share the water with some pretty exciting animals.”

A new three-year research project in UK waters is bringing scientists from University of Exeter, anglers and decades of catch records together to better understand blue sharks, porbeagles and tope - from where they travel and feed to how their populations are changing.
