Sue has a long history in swimming, she became a senior International swimmer at the age of 16, representing Scotland at 400 I.M. Sue has taught swimming for all her adult life, having started at her local swimming club as a volunteer at the age of 15. Sue taught swimming for Rochdale Education Authority for several years and coached Harpurhey swimming club and City of Manchester Swimming club, ga
ining great successes at both clubs. Sue became National Age Group coach to the City of Manchester Swimming club, after the retirement of Olympic coach, Mrs. Lily Pantling, having worked alongside her for several years. Sue coached several junior International swimmers, many of whom later became senior international swimmers. She also assisted in the coaching of senior international swimmers. Sue holds a degree in Sport and Human movement studies from Cyncoed College in Cardiff and a P.G.C.E. in Primary education. Sue has been a primary school teacher for over 20 years, having taught in every year group from nursery to year six. She has a vast knowledge and understanding of child development. Sue teaches swimming in a nurturing environment and has an immense love and passion for the sport. A teaching and coaching qualifications, Enhanced C.R.B. certificate, first aid certificate and the National pool life guarding certificate.
