Oh I’ve been so slack on my updates.
Here are the last few events run down…..
Lincoln 🍃
Ballyshan commander- 35 dressage (first fenceitous from me) and clear xc 🍊
Prince Vert- 31.8 DC fab run just a few time
Ollie’s pride and joy- 36 DC just missing a placing.
Bullard’s fine gin- 30.8, clear sj 😍

Tetworth 🌳
Two naughty boys in the dressage not sure what happened with them
Ollie’s pride and joy- 37.5 but a DC to just miss a placing again…
Prince Vert- a 38.5 (he was wild) and a DC so a good boy by the end.
Ballyshan Commander- wasn’t himself. Sadly he has injured his jaw, in a freak yard accident and we are waiting patiently for him to be healed. Sadly this was why he didn’t perform at tetworth.
Bullard’s Fine Gin- did a lovely test for 30.8 sj clear, however after commander I decided not to run him.

Burnham market ⛱️
Prince Vert- did a much better test for 34, he then jumped a super DC. Still working his rideability out xc meant he incurred a few time!
Ollie’s pride and joy- was still slightly too tense in his dressage, scoring 37.5. Had a very uncharacteristic pole down sj. But clear xc in the time left him 9th 🏅

After Burnham I lost my best friend… which is why I have been so absent on here.
Bert was my shadow, my confidant, my loyal companion and the love of my life.
Everything feels a little gloomier without him and the yard feels empty.
It was all so sudden but he spent the Friday with me all day at the horse trials being the bestest boy as usual. 🐺

🏁Poplar Park 🏁

First event of 2026… two gorgeous boys wayyyy too excited to be out. Their dressage’s were exuberant, they both flew round their jumping.
I was certainly rusty and slow!!
No prizes but a super day, I felt so so so privileged to be competing, and to have got out at an event without a school since October proves everyone’s resilience and determination.
Boys still had the best time…

Bullard’s fine Gin putting on a brave face through the wettest lessons we’ve had in a while… ain’t no fair weather riding here 🤠🦬🤎

The gorgeous Ballyshan Commander just loving life as usual during his lesson… with a sprinkling of spice.

Huge thank you to for the stunning vid of my orange boy!

✨Final 2025 event ✨

👑TETWORTH👑- what an event. As everyone agrees we were totally spoilt with an unreal track on the best ground I’ve seen in forever.
Cannot wait for more from these guys. It was beautifully organised!

’s 🪩Ollie’s Pride and Joy 🪩was a complete legend. Doing a good test, despite a sack the jockey moment where popped a circle in the wrong place 🥲 he then jumped a DC and took home 6th in the Go90, he gave me a phenomenal ride xc so brave and loving every moment of it round a beautifully dressed course which rode like a super traditional track! I’m thrilled to keep the ride for next season and can’t thank his owners enough, it’s a wonderful end to his season and he will spend the winter finessing so we can go out and get cracking next spring!!

💚Prince Vert💚did a lovely test for 32, still a couple of bits we could make smoother but I was pleased as he sat competitively. He showjumped fab clear round, and was smashing through a big bold course right up until the last question (an angled hedge in a pit) he just ducked out of the side, ignoring his navigator… 😂 Louis has always thought he knows best! So sadly he missed out on what I thought would be 2nd place 🤦🏼‍♀️
He has come@on so much this season with his confidence and obedience so more training, and hopefully he will step up next season!

Honestly cannot thank my supporters enough this season, it’s been mentally really tricky and I’ve felt pretty useless on my horses at times!
But thanks to unwavering support from my owners, family, friends and team on the ground at home we have made it and next year is looking bright!!

Andddd we are feeling ourselves again!

Two super boys at Oasby Prince Vert started the day very over excited and tense in his test… the xc happening through the hedge proved too much of a distraction and despite a lovely comment from the judge saying how beautiful he is he scored 38.3… I was a little disappointed as he had warmed up superbly but he is learning his craft and he finds me rather boring to listen to!!
He redeemed himself by jumping a super DC to place 10th.

Ollie’s Pride and Joy campaigned his second ever event and produced a good test with a couple of jogs in his walk (also excited about xc happening) leaving him on 35.5. However more lovely comments on his sheet so lots to work towards once he is more relaxed in an arena! (This is only his second ever test!)
He also pulled a super DC to finish on his dressage and take 6th in his section!

So thrilled with both and feel like we are getting our mojo back!

Ollie’s Pride and Joy being the over achiever that he is at little downham this weekend 👑

This being only his third ever xc experience I was thrilled with him- he picked up a 20 at a question early on but flewwww the rest adding only 4 time loving every second of it!!!
He managed a rosie for his wonderful owner and we all loved his first eventing experience- he hasn’t ever done a dressage test so scoring 32 was fab! A clear sj makes for a bright future. I am sooooo excited about him! 🤍

Prince vert did a lovely test- despite a rein malfunction in the long rein walk… he got his@rein wrapped around his nose?!? Somehow? We will blame the wind 😅 otherwise I think he’d had scored lower. A fab sj just tapping a rail, however he made it round most of the course only to spook out the side of the brush arrowhead- so sharply he left me without my steed!!! 😂
You just have to laugh some days!!!

Onwards to the final couple of events! 😎

Cornbury ⛲️

Ballyshan Commander headed for the CCI3* at Cornbury and after not the best test, we were later than I’d have liked thanks to rain and towing onto the lorry park. He held it together but was v v tense so didn’t score a very good mark… however we stuck that behind us and headed back to showjump, in more mud!!!
Luckily Commander loves the mud so he showjumped really well just tapping the 4th fence but popping round the rest really classily!
I have had a bit of a tough time recently, I had been feeling really fragile mentally and dealing with a huge amount of self doubt which has been creeping up to a crisis point recently…
I re walked the xc course on Friday and felt totally out of my depth, I had huge impostor syndrome and I wasn’t sure I’d make it out of the start box.

I have to thank my amazing horse who was so so keen to start and despite me not giving him the best ride he kept answering the questions and proving himself to be brave and bold I had a glance off a v influential corner combination, which was purely due to my approach to the A and B element (commander just couldn’t get us out over C) he then carried on until a set of rails down a hill where he left a leg- I decided we should call it a day here, and what seems like not a positive result actually felt like a huge milestone.

I was the most anxious and doubtful I’ve ever felt but I left the start box and I rode him. He gave me 100% and even when I wasn’t my best he held my hand and was generous.
He hasn’t been a brave horse always and this is the polar opposite of Scoop so for him to get behind me like that has reignited the fire in my belly to sort myself out and focus on next season.

I’ve been anxious to post about this but I want to make sure commander gets the recognition he deserves. 🍊
