We are up and running at the table top sale today at St Nicholas Church in Dereham.
Come and see Jacqueline on the stall selling books, plants, golf balls and ornaments amongst other items. You will also be able to get information about Fore Get Me Not Golf and the dementia cafe running at Dereham Golf Club.
The sale raises funds for the redevelopment of the church, and any proceeds made today will help us continue to provide our cafe free of charge.

Now that we've caught our breath after a fantastic 3rd Annual Fore Get Me Not Golf charity day, we just want to take a moment and say a massive thank you to those who supported our day, we couldn't have done it with you!

What a day we had! A full complement of 13 teams took to the Dereham Golf Club course for our 3rd annual Fore Get Me Not Golf Charity scramble. Despite an early spot of rain, the sun soon made an appearance and helped make for a fabulous golfing competition.
The course was in fantastic condition, and the golf was even better! The winning team coming with a gross score of 64 😲👏🏻

We are beyond delighted to announce that we raised £2,300 on the day through the generosity of those present across the auction, the raffle and the golf itself.

To everybody who gave up their time yesterday to play/attend/volunteer, everyone who bought raffle tickets and made auction bids, to all the amazing businesses and people who were so incredibly generous in donating raffle prizes and auction items we cannot say it loudly enough ... THANK YOU!

We are so proud to be able to hold our monthly Dementia Cafes and we loved having some of our group members come along to the day to see for themselves the support that the local community gives to this initiative.
We can only provide these sessions completely free of charge for those living with dementia because of our supporters and our volunteers. Every time we are blown away by how generous and kind they are!

Again, from the bottom of our heart, THANK YOU to everyone.

And the Charity Scramble will be back for its 4th year in 2027!!

Ahead of our annual charity day tomorrow, just reflecting on our May dementia cafe held last week in exceptionally hot conditions. It was great to see a packed out session, with group members taking to the course and the putting green, then coming together for tea, cake and great company.
Special mentions to Shelley and Anne, who were both on hot streaks (no pun intended given the weather) with a putter in their hands!
Hopefully the good weather will continue tomorrow, and we would be delighted to see everyone for a cuppa and to discuss the great work of Fore Get Me Not Golf between 10:30am and 1:30pm at Dereham Golf Club.

Our next Dementia cafe will be on Thursday 18th June!

Our 2026 Charity Day is on Friday 29th May at Dereham Golf Club, and we couldn't be more excited!

While the golf event is sold out with Rogers & Norton Solicitors Limited returning to defend their win last year, we would love to see you drop in between 10:30am and 1:30pm on the day to show your support for this amazing charity, helping people living with Dementia.

On the day there will be refreshments including homemade cakes, an opportunity to buy raffle tickets, a prize draw and special offers of "Fore" Get Me Not Golf clothing.
You will also be able to find out more about the efforts of the charity both locally and Nationwide, as well as explore ways you can help including volunteer opportunities.
