🏆 Fleetwood Town Summer Festival Champions! 🏆

Our new Burton Thistle U10s side won their first trophy as Burton Thistle today, and what a way to do it!

⚽ 24 goals scored
💪 Semi-final won 3-2 after being 2-1 down
💪 Final won 3-2 after being 2-0 down

The lads played some brilliant football all day, but their character and fight in the last two games was unbelievable against very strong opposition.

A first trophy for this team as Burton Thistle and hopefully the first of many.

Our senior teams return to training on Tuesday 30th June, 6:30pm–8:00pm at Curwen Woods, Burton in Kendal.

Training will then continue every Tuesday and Thursday throughout pre-season.

Club Announcement 🟢⚫️

Following our AGM this evening, First Team Manager Mark Johnson (Jono) has decided to step down from his role.

Everyone at Burton Thistle would like to say a huge thank you to Jono for everything he has done for the club. As our longest-serving manager, he has led the team through some incredible times, including cup successes and numerous promotions.

There have been plenty of highs and a few lows along the way, but Jono has always remained positive, committed and passionate about the club. His dedication and hard work have helped put Burton Thistle in the strong position it is in today, and his contribution to the club cannot be underestimated.

Alongside Jono, his wife Cheryl has also stepped down from her role as Club Secretary.

Working tirelessly behind the scenes, Cheryl has been a massive part of the club’s development over the years. Her organisation, commitment and drive have helped move the club forward, particularly with the growth of our junior section, which continues to thrive.

Together, Jono and Cheryl have given countless hours to Burton Thistle and have played a huge part in the progress and success of the club. Their dedication, support and friendship have meant so much to everyone involved.

Another tournament win today for our Under 12s, this time at the Vickerstown FC Tournament!

Yet another outstanding performance from the lads as they continue to add silverware to an already impressive trophy cabinet.

A huge well done to all the boys and the coaches for another fantastic achievement. Your hard work, teamwork, and dedication continue to pay off.

We’re excited to be launching a new Under 6s team for the 2026/27 season, giving young players the opportunity to start their football journey in a positive, supportive and enjoyable environment.

Our focus is simple:

If your child will be in School Year 1 during the 2026/27 academic year, we’d love for them to get involved.
