On Sunday, our Women’s and Girls’ section enjoyed a truly once-in-a-lifetime trip, travelling 520 miles round-trip to London!

They had the incredible honour of being invited to attend the ICC T20 World Cup Captains Launch on Waterloo Bridge – an amazing experience from start to finish.

A huge thank you to Lancs Cricket Foundation for giving them this unforgettable opportunity. They loved every minute and are so grateful to have been part of such a special event. ❤️

Opportunities like this rarely come along for clubs like ours, so we’re still a little shocked that we were invited! 😱 Our Women’s and Girls’ section has worked incredibly hard over the years, and they truly deserve every success that comes their way.

One of the highlights of the day was having all of the Women’s T20 World Cup captains sign a club bat. It will take pride of place in our new Women’s and Girls’ changing rooms as a lasting reminder of an unforgettable day.

Thank you to everyone involved in making it happen. Memories like these will stay with us forever. 💜🏏

🔵 1st Team Results & Highlights from the Weekend 🔵

🏏 T20 vs Cartmel – Loss

👏 History was made as Melissa and Justine became the first two women ever to represent the 1st Team.

⭐ Rob Letcher had an outstanding all-round performance, scoring 44 runs and taking 3-25

🎉 Melissa also made club history by becoming the first woman to take a wicket for the 1st Team.

👏 Our Charlie T had a fantastic game for his bowling coming away with 4-54

More history was made for 2nd team at the club this weekend:

👩‍👦 Justine and Jacob became the club’s first-ever mother-and-son pair to play together.

🎉 Jacob celebrated a memorable milestone by claiming his first wicket for the 2nd Team and his mum Justine got the top batting score with 18 👏

While the results didn’t go our way, there were plenty of proud moments and club records achieved across the weekend. Well done to everyone involved! 💙❤️🏏
