You are exhausted from driving to endless matches just to watch your child get pushed around by bigger kids. It is frustrating to see them discouraged, but raw size is a short term advantage.

Intelligence on the court beats it every time. As we kick off the new autumn term, focus on helping your child read the game. This serves as a great screen time alternative.

We work to build that vision in every session, helping kids feel confident through decision making rather than physical bulk. It is about equipping them for the long game.

We are waiting for our new kit which will hopefully be here next week so no pic unfortunately.

However today the boys we outstanding and came away with a comfortable win

⚽️ NEW SEASON. NEW CHALLENGE. SAME RESULT. 3 POINTS! 🔥🦁

Well… what a summer it’s been!

Losing our goalkeeper and a defender, hardly any pre-season due to holidays, a last-minute promotion into a higher league… and then today we turn up with NO goalkeeper and only 12 players! 😳

Then, just to make things even harder, Dash gets injured after 20 minutes and after 25 minutes we’re 3–0 DOWN! 🤦‍♂️

What an absolute disaster…

THENNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN…

OMG!!! 🤯🔥

The spark. The energy. The pure PASSION kicked in.

I’ve honestly never seen a performance like it. It was like the lions had been let out of the cage! 🦁

Tommie pulls up the armband and gets his men going with a solo goal.

A minute later Harsh gets us back into it, before Tommie steps up again and suddenly…

3–3!!! 😱

Kieron and Bhav are seeing stars — it all happened that quickly! 😂

We come out for the second half and go 4–3 down…

💥 BANG — 4–4!

Then 5–4 down…

💥 BANG — 5–5!

With 10 minutes to go, the boys are absolutely knackered. They’re looking over at me wanting a sub… but we’ve got NOTHING left! 😂

At this point I’m praying we can just hang on for the draw. A point would have been an unbelievable result considering everything we’d been through.

But oooooooooh nooooooo…

Every single player on that pitch today was AMAZING. The fight, togetherness, passion and refusal to give up was something special.

But I also want to give a massive thank you to Charlie for stepping up and going in goal, and Oliver for helping us out in defence. Neither were playing in their normal positions, but today they put the TEAM first — and they were rewarded with all 3 points. ❤️👏

From 3–0 down to 6–5 winners.

Can only really echo what has already been mentioned above. Started off slow which allowed the opposition to use that to their advantage scoring 2 back to back goals within 10minutes and it rocked our confidence. However we bounced back played some great one touch passing and began to find our feet. If we started the first half like we did with the second we’d of snatched a win out of that game. We spoke about being energetic, confident, energetic and first to the ball at half time and the second half was miles better.

We will only take the positives out of that game and move forward to next weeks training and rebuild on this.

Well done also to the new players, first game with us and slotted straight into the action and put in a strong performance.

Man of the match was Dylan, drove at the defence from the wings and kept them under pressure and deserved the goal he scored.

Just a reminder on kits. Can we ensure we wear the correct kits each week please, these have been bought and it’s only fair we use them and look the part.

Match Report U11’s

Hinsford Diamonds 0 v 6 Jogabola

Firstly, a big thank you to Seema and Samoa Ltd for their support in kitting out the boys last season, the kit has lasted well and we will wear it again this season 👏

Pre match I asked the boys to continue where we left off last season, which was showing good teamwork, working hard for weach other and playing a fast passing game.

GK Tommy - ‘Mr Safe Hands’ lived up to his name today, very assured with any shots or crosses, swept up well and was brave. Hope his auntie took him to the shop for keeping a clean sheet 😉.

Daniel - An absolute brick wall in defence, his positional sense was amazing, nothing gets past him, so calm and collected when clearing up any danger.

Josue - Solid in defence and his partnership with Shayan down the left hand side when going forward is pleasing on the eye, very impressed with his pace and control when bombing forward.

Neymar - Full of dribbling and putting in some dangerous cross from the right, was unlucky not to get on the scoresheet today.

Elton - controlled the midfield again, nice little partnership with Neymar, and a great finish for his goal.

Shayan - Grew into the match, again showed great awareness when passing, nice partnership with Josue, very exciting to watch and scored 2 well taken goals.

Jermaine - Making his debut, good all round performance, strong in the tackle, nice passin and took his goal well, could have scored a couple more.

Leo - pre-season hard work paying off, his positional disciplne was excellent, strong in the tackle and took his 2 goals very well 👏.

Motm was picked by the opposition coach - Neymar 🏆👏.

Summary: Wow, what a display the boys put on, every single player was impressive, the match was so exciting to watch.

Jogabola 🔥1 v 1 Walshaw Predators

What a first game back! Facing the MYSL Summer League Prem champions, the boys worked tirelessly for one another from start to finish. That was the most pleasing part for me!

At times, we showed real quality on the ball, moving it quickly and creating some excellent chances that their goalkeeper(s) did brilliantly to save. A draw was probably a fair result overall, although we had opportunities to win it. Charlie came incredibly close at the death after some excellent attacking play, only to see his effort superbly saved.

Every player played their part:

Musa stayed switched on throughout and was unlucky to concede after initially coming off his line brilliantly.

Mateo and Sami remained disciplined in those wing back positions. Mateo starting the season in typical Mateo fashion, scoring a brilliant long-range effort!

Sami earned the Parents’ Player of the Match award for a completely selfless performance covering in defence and getting forward well.

Luca and Junior were both excellent across defence and midfield. Luca was always composed in possession and unlucky not to score, while Junior rescued us on a couple of occasions with some perfectly timed defending.

Quincey and Rory worked tirelessly on the wings throughout the game and played some good balls into the box.

Francis always looked dangerous on the ball in the final third, while also doing a fantastic job in the deeper wing-back position.

A fantastic performance and plenty for us to build on going into Sunday. Well done again, boys! ⚽️🔥
