We're teaming up with Deakin University, Warrnambool Campus and CQUniversity Australia to help people living with disability build their confidence, independence and fitness in the gym.
Each participant will be paired with a Deakin University health student, who will act as a gym buddy by providing encouragement, guidance and companionship throughout the program.
Participants will take part in a 12-week gym-based fitness program developed around their individual goals, abilities and support needs.
Participants gain support to build confidence, fitness and independence in the gym, while student buddies gain practical experience working with people with disability in a supportive community setting.
