In case you missed it, we hosted Div 2, 3, 4, 5 and Vets Women’s finals over the last three weeks.
Three weeks of fierce contests, incredible performances and some seriously dramatic finishes!
Congratulations to Montrose Football Netball Club 💙❤️, North Ringwood Football Club, Upper Ferntree Gully 🔴🔵 and Blackburn Football Netball Club for taking home the silverware.
A huge heartfelt thank you to all our incredible community members who volunteered their time across those three weeks. We genuinely couldn’t have done it without you!!!
A few words from our Pres, Rachael Baker…
“There’s something really powerful about a women’s club creating the space for other women to play, umpire, volunteer and participate in our sport. To be able to host women’s finals, with an all-female ground umpiring crew, at our clubrooms as a standalone women’s football club is something pretty special.
It’s not just about what happens on the field. It’s about the opportunities we create, the people we bring together and the mark we leave on women’s sport and our broader community.
While you didn’t see us playing finals this year, I’m not sure winning a flag would make me much prouder of this club than I am today”
