🏏💚💛 2026/27 SENIOR LEADERSHIP ANNOUNCEMENT

Glen Waverley Cricket Club is pleased to announce our Chairman of Selectors, Captains and Vice Captains for the upcoming 2026/27 season.

Congratulations to everyone appointed to a leadership position. We look forward to seeing the group lead our senior sides throughout the season and help continue to build a strong culture across the club.

We would also like to extend a massive thank you to our outgoing Chairman of Selectors and Captains — Jake Brown, Lee Privitera, Jeremy Mekhael, Tushar Bagal and Zac Tarquinio — for the time, commitment and leadership they have given to their respective roles. 👏

Another great training session last week, with plenty of energy and some new faces joining the GWCC family! 👋🏏

It’s fantastic to see our players getting stuck into pre-season and welcoming new players into the club. We’re looking forward to building on the momentum as we head towards the new season.

Big changes ahead as we officially move into the Box Hill Reporter Competition, bringing us closer games, fresh rivalries and a new era for the club.

We thank Steve Ker, Megan Griffiths and Tushar Bagal for their incredible service as they step down from their roles.
A huge congratulations to Jake McLoughlin, who steps up as our new Vice President.

🌟 Len Nibaldi returns as Director of Coaching
46 years at GWCC. 450 games. 12 premierships. Life Member. Former President & Secretary.
Len will lead our Junior program and support our senior squads — the perfect mentor for our next generation.

👏 Priyantha Gunasekara appointed as Junior Coordinator
65 senior games and a massive contributor off-field. Priyantha brings passion, care and community spirit to our junior space.

📱 Welcome Seamus Curran – Social Media Coordinator
Seamus joins the off field team to lead our digital presence, helping showcase our players, volunteers and club culture across all platforms.
