🏏 WE'RE LOOKING FOR JUNIOR COACHES & TEAM MANAGERS FOR 2026/27! 🏏

Fresh off the most successful junior season in club history, planning is already underway for the 2026/27 season.

With more than 150 junior participants and a record four junior premierships in 2025/26, we are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help continue the growth and success of the Glen Waverley Hawks junior program.

We expect to field teams across:

* Stage 1 Girls (Sunday mornings)
* Super 7's (Saturday/Sunday mornings)
* Fast 9's (Saturday/Sunday mornings)
* Under 12's (Friday nights)
* Under 13's (Saturday mornings)
* Under 14's (Friday nights)
* Under 15's (Saturday mornings - subject to numbers)
* Under 16's (Friday nights)

🏏 Junior Coaches
Help run training sessions, support player development, manage the team on match days and most importantly help foster a positive, inclusive and enjoyable environment for our young cricketers.

📋 Team Managers
Assist with communication to parents, player availability, organising scorers and umpires, entering match results (where required) and helping ensure match days run smoothly.

No previous coaching or cricket experience is required. The Junior Committee & Junior Coach will be available to provide guidance and support throughout the season.

To cap off a remarkable season, some of our Hawks family attended the BHRDCA Senior presentation night on Friday to celebrate outstanding achievements and individual contributions.

Des Hearn Medalist for best Dorothy Mac player🥇- Darren Dineshkumar

RJ McIntosh Memorial Trophy for outstanding services to cricket 🏏- Nathan Bungey

Both Darren and Nath have made the club proud with their fantastic achievements, representing the Hawks.

Our 2nd Xl were also awarded the C Grade premiership flag after a thrilling grand final win, represented by Brendon, Sunny and Youngy. 🏆

🏏💛 A Huge Season for Our Junior Hawks! 🤎🏏

What an incredible way to finish the junior cricket season.

Across the past two weeks, our junior program has achieved something truly special — 4 premierships from 7 competitive teams 🏆🏆🏆🏆

An outstanding result and one that is a true reflection of the hard work, commitment and culture being built across the club.

🏆 Premiership Teams:

- Under 14B (BHRDCA)
- Under 13B (ISEC)
- Under 12A (BHRDCA)
- Under 12C (BHRDCA)

To top it off, our second Under 12C side finished runners-up, making it an all-Hawks grand final in that grade — a fantastic achievement in itself 👏

This would have to go down as one of, if not the most successful junior seasons in the club’s history.

While results are fantastic, what’s most pleasing is the development, teamwork and enjoyment shown across all teams.

A huge thank you and congratulations to:

- And most importantly, our talented and hardworking junior cricketers

🏆 PREMIERS! 🏆

Our GWHCC 2nd XI are C grade premiers after an unbelievable 1-wicket win in the final over of the Grand Final against Box Hill North Super Kings C.C.

A match that went right down to the wire, with the boys holding their nerve when it mattered most.

An incredible effort from the whole group all season — a well deserved reward.

🦅🏏 Hawks Junior Grand Final Week! 🏏🦅

After a fantastic round of semi finals, we are thrilled to see 4 of our 5 Friday night BHRDCA junior teams progressing through to the Grand Final!

Reaching a grand final is a tremendous achievement and a real credit to the effort the kids have put in throughout the season, along with the dedication of our coaches, volunteers and supportive families.

The big matches will take place this Thursday 12th and Friday 13th March, and we’d love to see plenty of Hawks supporters around the grounds cheering the teams on.

🏏 Junior Finals Week for the Hawks! 🏏

Another fantastic junior cricket season is drawing to a close but before it does, we have finals to settle!

We are extremely proud that all five of our Friday night BHRDCA junior teams finished in the top four of their respective ladders, earning a semi-final spot.

They will all be playing their semi-final matches this Thursday 5th and Friday 6th March.

Match details are below — if you have some spare time, please get down and support our juniors wherever you can.

We were also fortunate to have one of our two Saturday morning ISEC teams progress through their semi-final — and they won!

This sees them advance to the Grand Final this Saturday morning against Toorak Prahran C.C.
