Oh that was the worst mornings for parkrun. Started the clock and along came the wind and the rain. I honestly thought they would pack it in and just go home but they just kept going. Except for a few and I don’t blame them. It was tough out there. Well done everyone. 🌧️🌬️
This week 68 people ran, jogged and walked the course, of whom 5 were first timers and 6 recorded new Personal Bests. Representatives of 6 different clubs took part.

❤️ To my fellow parkrunners…

There’s something pretty special about the people who get themselves out of bed on a cold, wet morning, pull on their running shoes and turn up at parkrun. 🌧️🥶👟

When it would be so much easier to stay warm under the doona, you choose to get up, get outside and be part of something.

You run, you walk, you jog, you volunteer, you cheer each other on — and most importantly, you show up. ❤️

Every single person who crosses that start line, walks through the finish funnel or gives their time as a volunteer should be proud of themselves.

It’s not always about the time on the clock. Sometimes the biggest achievement is simply getting out the door.

So to all my fellow parkrunners — you’re pretty awesome. Keep showing up, keep encouraging each other and keep making Saturday mornings something special. 🏃‍♀️❤️

Event #517:

This Saturday 115 happy participants joined the volunteer team for Saturday morning parkrun, either to walk, jog and run on our beautiful course!

We welcomed 11 first timers or visitors to Hamilton parkrun.
Congratulations to the 11 participants on achieving their Personal Bests.
We celebrated an informal 300 milestone for Susan Brumby, well done on your achievement.

This week we officially said a farewell 😢 to regular Hamilton parkrun participants Bronwyn Dwight and Peter Dwight. Collectively they have completed 486 of their total 592 parkruns in Hamilton. You will be missed 👋.

Event #516:
This Saturday 1️⃣0️⃣1️⃣ happy participants joined the volunteer team for a slightly damp ☔️ and overcast 🌥️ Saturday morning to walk, jog and run of our beautiful ALTERNATIVE course!
We welcomed 8️⃣ first timers 🤩!
Congratulations to the 5️⃣ participants achieving Personal Bests.
We were fortunate enough to welcome Running Guy, Ryan Stoddart to the friendliest parkrun around! We hope you enjoyed your visit; thanks for being so kind and patient answering all our questions!
Hamilton Running Club Inc. 💛💙 as always was well represented with 3️⃣2️⃣ members participating including volunteering!
