Early bird registrations for the U12 Country Skills Days are now open!

The 2026 Country Skills Days will be held on Saturday 25th July and Sunday 26th July at 10 regional academies across Victoria.

These Skill Day events are part of a development program for players of all abilities and standards from all associations located in regional Victoria. This will be an opportunity for identified athletes to be selected to participate in the U12 Country Jamboree in Echuca in September!

A huge congratulations to Sophie Byrne, Nina Roll, Gretta Heggie and Adele Pinkerton on their selection in the Vic Country teams for the 2026 Country Metro Challenge.

Selection in a Vic Country team is a fantastic achievement and recognition of the hard work, commitment and dedication these athletes continue to show both on and off the court.

The Country Metro Challenge brings together some of Victoria's most talented young basketballers and provides an incredible opportunity to compete, learn and continue developing their game.

We are incredibly proud of Sophie, Nina, Gretta and Adele and know they will represent Warrnambool Basketball and Vic Country with pride.

Connor has been selected as one of only 72 country vic athletes to compete in Bendigo at the 2026 Country Metro Challenge!

A total of 194 of Victoria’s most promising young basketballers have been selected for the 2026 Country Metro Challenge (CMC), an important milestone within Basketball Victoria’s Performance Pathways program.

The Country Metro Challenge is an important part of Basketball Victoria’s player development pathway, providing athletes with the opportunity to test themselves against quality opposition, learn from experienced coaches and continue building the skills required for the next stage of their basketball journey.

Congratulations Connor! A testament to your dedication and commitment to basketball. 👊🏼🏀
