Despite a forecast of rain, a determined field of 14 players headed out to contest the June Women's Monthly Medal. Thankfully the showers stayed away, making for a pleasant day on the course.

🏆 Pennant Success for Hamilton Golf Club Women 🏆

Hamilton Golf Club is celebrating a fantastic pennant season after two of our women’s teams claimed grand final victories at Warrnambool on Monday.

Our Scratch team defeated Portland 4–1, while the Division 3 side secured a 3–2 win over Port Fairy.

In the Scratch final:
⛳ Kerryn Price recorded a good 6 & 4 win over Jill Treloar.
⛳ Lyn Satchell mounted a terrific comeback from four down with four holes to play before narrowly going down 1 down on the 18th to Portland captain Sandy Stewart.
⛳ Robyn Holcombe’s match ended early after her opponent, Tania Heaphy, sadly suffered a broken leg following a fall on their fourth hole.
⛳ Sue Walter prevailed in a closely fought match against Elle Zeunert, winning on the 20th hole.
⛳ Alma Fonda also went the distance, fighting back from two down with two holes remaining to defeat Leonie Anderson on the 20th and secure Hamilton’s overall victory.

In Division 3:
⛳ Captain Dawn Cay led the way with a strong 7 & 6 win over Cat Bartholomew.
⛳ Rhonda Scullion defeated Diana Officer 6 & 5.
⛳ Joan Lewis finished 2 up against Kay O’Connell.
⛳ Gerri Griffin battled hard before going down 4 & 2 to Frances Dalton.
⛳ Liz Nichol went down 4 & 3 to Brenda Elliott.

A huge thank you to our fill-ins throughout the season — Molly O’Brien, Tania Cullinane and Debbie Milne for the Scratch team, and Jane Bunge and Marlene Clarke for Division 3.

We’d also like to sincerely thank all the ladies who caddied for us in the finals. Your support on the day meant so much and was greatly appreciated.

Finally, our thoughts are with Tania Heaphy, and we wish her a speedy recovery. 💐

We have had a lot of our members having difficulty with the MiScore app draining their phone battery. The only suggestion we currently have is to go to your MIscore app menu (when you have power). Help and Support, and then Feedback, if you report directly to MiScore they may realise how much of an issue it is.
