In April 1994, we relocated our school to Chili Center in the Chili-Paul Plaza. Our professional 3,800 square foot facility includes two dojo’s or training areas including a matted area for the grappling oriented programs (i.e. The facility also includes heavy bags, mirrors, a kickboxing training facility and other equipment necessary for the successful practice of the martial arts. Group classes are available for adults of any age and children starting at four years of age. Additionally, we offer private lessons in Karate for students who desire to work one-on-one with a staff instructor. NEMA Dojo also offers specialized programs such as Quick Defensive Tactics (a reality based self defense program), personal safety and conflict management classes for children and Camp Budo for Kids (this summer) to name a few. We also offer seminars during the year taught by some of the best instructors in the country on various martial arts topics. Our objective is to help students develop wholeness of mind and body. At all ages, our programs are designed to assist each individual in developing mentally and physically. Through the study of the martial arts at NEMA, students will increase their self-esteem, self-discipline, focus or ability to concentrate, motivation in life, leadership skills and the ability to set goals. Physically speaking, student of all ages will improve their physical well-being through greater flexibility and strength, increased energy and fitness, improved balance and breathing, as well as greater mobility.
