Renaissance Martial Arts Festival has a date!!! September 12th and 13th.
Same set up as previous years. Saturday train from 12 to 6 then dinner together. Sunday train from 9 to 1. Family style with one instructor at a time and all of us training together.:)
There is no pre registration other than letting us know you are coming.

2026 SMAF is next weekend! Join us May 16–17 at the Holiday Inn in Saratoga Springs, NY for one of the Northeast's longest-running martial arts gatherings — over 20 years strong!

Two days of hands-on workshops covering striking, grappling, weapons, self-defense, and more — taught by a world-class lineup of Master Instructors.

In addition to many returning favorites, we are excited to have Doug Marcaida (History Channel's Forged in Fire), Terry Dow (Superfoot System), Allen Wong (mixing Kung Fu & BJJ), and William Luciano (who has something special planned) back to teach after some years away.

We've also got some exciting new additions including Rolando Garcia (Jeet Kune Do & Bowie Knife) and Rob Terlizzi (sport & combat sambo).

Our collective martial arts family is in mourning over the passing of our beloved friend and instructor, Sifu Eric Winfree. We first met Sifu Winfree at a Dan Inosanto seminar back in 1998 and he quickly became a part of our martial arts family. He was an exceptional martial artist and teacher, and an even more remarkable human being.

Please send your thoughts to his students and family Water's Edge Martial Arts. Also a celebration of his life is set for this Thursday, July 10th, at Well of Hope Church,1640 South Ave., Syracuse NY, at 10 am.

The RMAF has been cleared for an official date for all the festivities Sept 20th and 21st. Same format as the last few years. Sat 12 to 6 for activities then a dinner later. Sunday 9 to 1 more fun to be had.

My martial arts friends and family,
The Saratoga Martial Arts Festival is coming up fast! April 11,12 and 13 is right around the corner.
Sunday March 23 rd is the last day to pre reg and get a super awesome T-shirt. Registration will continue on for the next 2 weeks but we have to commit to the number of t-shirts for the event by Monday.
We will order a few additional t-shirts that will be available at the event. Those can be fought over via the normal Game of Death protocols :)
