Precision Pitching We Specialized In Transforming Aspiring Pitchers
Into Confident, Elite Athletes In Red Wing, MN

Precision Pitching offers baseball and softball instruction both in person and remotely. Our in-person training primarily trains out of Red Wing, MN renting facility space from RipWing Crossfit. The primary focus of Precision Pitching is baseball and softball pitching instruction, but recently we have been increasing our services to instruct all throwers (baseball, softball, quarterbacks), striker

s (baseball/softball hitting) and fielding (baseball/softball) instruction. Ryan Christenson is the owner of Precision Pitching and a certified instructor of National Pitching and National Football under Tom House Sports. Coach C provides science-based throwing instruction to all rotational athletes. Throwers who train with him will learn the same researched-based protocols trusted by over 1,000+ MLB Pitchers and 70+ NFL QB’s. In addition, Ryan is a Certified ArmCare Expert and Biomechanist who puts his athlete's health as the first priority. Ryan and his coaching staff at Precision Pitching work hard to invest in his athletes and continually push them to get to the next level. We take a health-first approach to our instruction protocols with his client's future as the top priority. We strive to develop positive relationships with our athletes and families required to create an environment for success on and off the field.

⚾ Keep the Windup Simple

The windup is a choice. It’s not necessary to throw hard or be successful, which is why we want pitchers to first become really good and repeatable out of the stretch.

If a pitcher chooses to use the windup, the goal is simple: step into the same position you would be in from the stretch.

That means we don’t need a big pivot step. Remember, you’re not only stepping to the side—you’re also stepping down the slope of the mound, creating a change in elevation.

Keep that step around the width of your foot and focus on keeping your head over your belly button and over your pivot foot as you move into position.

The less unnecessary movement we create, the easier it is to stay balanced, get into a strong Knee to Glove, and move efficiently down the mound.

Simplify the movement. Control your body. Then let the delivery work.

Consistency Builds Confidence

“Consistency is something you can always improve on.” — Greg Maddux

For young pitchers, consistency isn’t about making every pitch perfect. It’s about building repeatable habits—how you prepare, how you compete, and how you respond to the last pitch.

That mindset fits one of the most valuable lessons we teach pitchers: focus on the process and control what you can control.

Small improvements, repeated over time, can help a pitcher develop greater confidence in the work they’ve put in.

⚾ For baseball parents: What is one habit your pitcher is working to make more consistent this season?

🎯 Bullpen Focus: Stack Strikes

Precision Pitching athlete Sheldon put together a focused bullpen session, throwing 7 strikes while working on repeating his delivery and attacking the target.

Bullpens are a great opportunity to build the routines and repeatable movement patterns pitchers can take with them into competition. At Precision Pitching, the goal is to keep developing the process—one quality pitch at a time.

⚾ Keep competing, Sheldon!

⚾ WIN THE PITCH YOU’RE IN

Tarik Skubal — Detroit Tigers

“I want to live in the moment.”

For a pitcher, the last pitch is already over and the next one hasn’t happened yet. The opportunity is right now.

That mindset fits what we teach at Precision Pitching: Next Pitch Mentality — control what you can control.

Reset. Refocus. Compete on the next pitch. 🎯⚾

DEVELOP THE PITCHER. NOT JUST THE PITCH. ⚾️

At Precision Pitching, athlete development is about building the complete pitcher.

That means improving movement efficiency, command, velocity, arm health, preparation, routines, and helping each athlete better understand what makes them successful.

There isn’t one delivery or one program that fits every pitcher. Our job is to identify what each athlete needs and build a development plan around them.

Whether they’re preparing for high school baseball, the college level, or continuing their development once they get there, the goal is consistent:

Develop better movers. Better competitors. Better pitchers.

⚾ BUILD A DELIVERY THAT LASTS

“Put the right pitching mechanics together with good health, and there’s nothing surprising about lasting a long time.”

For young pitchers, development isn’t only about what the radar gun says today. It’s about building efficient movement patterns, developing functional strength, managing workloads, and taking care of the body along the way.

That same long-term approach is reflected in Precision Pitching’s development model: proper mechanics + functional strength + manageable workloads give pitchers a stronger opportunity for both health and performance.

Build good habits now. Keep developing for the seasons ahead. ⚾

⚾ INSIDE CRISTOPHER SÁNCHEZ’S ARSENAL

Three pitches. Three different looks.

🔥 Changeup — Same arm speed. Different speed.
🌀 Slider — Sharp break. A different look.
⚾ Sinker — Firm with late movement.

For young pitchers, watching MLB arms like Sánchez is a great way to study how different pitches can work together to challenge a hitter’s timing.
