Eating doesn't have to be hard. I am the one that over-complicates it, overthinks it, and makes it hard.

I am still learning how to train my brain. I am so type 'A' and so 'all or nothing' that learning how to eat is a real challenge. Last night, for example, I was craving an apple after a 2 mile walk but I had had pasta for lunch and the apple would have put me over my carb allowance for the day. It is in those moments I have to remember....its not the apples that made me fat...so I at the dang apple 🍎 and it was delicious!

I want to get to a point where I 100% listen to my body and cravings. I have a long way to go, but its the small steps in not overthinking my foods that I will take as wins!

Recognize that the journey was far more valuable than the destination.

It's time to start another 8 week challenge with and I couldn't be more excited! I was skeptical about joining the last time but extremely glad I did.

YOU GUYS!! ...not only did I have a decent physical challenge but the changes to my brain and the people I have connected/reconnected were the best part! This is seriously one of the best I've been a part of (and we know I've tried a lot of things to lose weight).

Try and try again 🙈 You guys, the amount of times I have attempted to make these cookies is almost comical.

I thought I was finally going to do it only to find out that our baking soda was gone...ugh of all things! Such is life though...after work I will go to the store and give it another go!

The same is true for anything in life. At some point you just have to shake your head, laugh, and then get up and give it another try! 💪

I think God did me a favor tonight...he allowed me this ONE picture before my phone died. (Ok, I also got in one selfie but I look terrible!)

No pictures, messages, music, podcasts...NOTHING! 😳 He wanted me to take in the scenery, enjoy the quiet for a few moments, and just BE!

Let me tell you about my new best friends!!

I've NEVER been a veggie eater...like gag and spit it out still at age 36 non-veggie eater. But I knew my body was missing sooo many nutrients.

The first day I took the Opti-Greens I was fully prepared to gag (they smelled awful) but I chugged them like a college girl and had my lemonade chaser ready....down the hatch they went AND STAYED!!

Fast forward almost 2 months and these friends have become a lifeline. They are the first thing I drink in the morning and sometimes the last thing at night. My digestion/gut health has never been better and they work miracles when it comes to bloating. 'Cause like anyone, I hate being uncomfortable after eating.

The Opti-Reds is a bonus for me! I love fruit but seem to gravitate toward the same ones so the variety I get is fantastic. They give me a boost in metabolism, improve blood flow, and help keep my blood pressure down around those crazy toddlers!

Safe to say, these friends are stuck with me for a long while!!

We have been taught this from an early age BUT do you know what is more important than being kind to others? BE KIND TO YOURSELF!!

I am my own worst critic, my own worst enemy, and my biggest bully. Seriously, would I walk up to someone else and say 'you are fat' or 'eww, look at your stomach'? HELL NO! So, why do I do it to myself 🤦‍♀️ Give yourself grace, allow yourself not to be perfect, high five yourself when you do great, and dust yourself off when you fall.

It is important to BE KIND to everyone, but especially yourself!

How many of you would give up if you worked out 3-4 days a week, walked 10,000+ steps a day, watched what you ate for 2 months and you jumped on the scale and it showed a 2 lbs loss?? (Most of you would be my guess) The difference between the left and right picture's is 2 lbs...that's it!

GIRL, DO NOT GIVE UP!! Try on those old clothes, take measurements, and TAKE PICTURES.

10 Seconds of Perfection, FOMO (fear of missing out) and how social media exacerbates this even more by mainly showing highlight reels.

I am 100% guilty of showing up on social media to share 'the good stuff'. 🙋‍♀️ Just the other weekend, I was snap chatting photos of the gorgeous day out on our boat....that's what you see...10 seconds of perfection.

What you don't see is the struggle to find that boat which took over a year, many miles, and having boats sold from under us as we were driving to look at them. You also don't see that we got out there early and made it a short ride because we had a 'to do' list of house projects a mile long at home OR that once home it took 2 hours to clean the boat back up and put it away.

Please don't get me wrong, we are blessed to be able to have a house to work on or a boat to ride on and many other life luxuries. My point being, social media can wrap us up so tight that we forget that we don't see the sleepless nights, the countless hours of hard work, the disappointments, the struggles to get to these 10 seconds of 'perfection'.

Be happy for people enjoying their life and know that whether it be lifestyle, diet/fitness, starting a life/family, job success, ect....everyone one has fought battles you know nothing about so BE KIND and happy for one another.

Hello again! Took a little time off from posting my workouts/meals...honestly it became a chore and I was no longer enjoying it. I also took a break from 'workouts' in lieu of some good old fashion walking. But now, the wedding wire is ticking down and we got to get real serious 😳 Back to posting for accountability for myself.
